That is literally the best sounding parallel twin on the planet. It's amazing how good some of them can sound (believe it or not I also love the sound of a R-E INT650 with a pipe on it) and how some can sound so bland (Ninja 650, CBR500 ect....). Thanks for doing this guys!

There's a lot of 270° parallel twins on the planet. Have you heard them all? How about the Triumph 1200 in the Speed Twin, Scrambler, and Bobber?

Would have been nice to get a completed look with the exhaust in the picture of the entire bike, but overall great video guys!

Since Yamaha has got into the naked bike world with the MT-09/07/10 they've been killing it. I think that they should take the V4 from the V-Max and build a crazy hyper naked around that engine. And it ain't gotta be a 1700. 1500 is plenty. I just think that engine is glorious.

I want to see the first underbelly system as I don't see it fit with the exhaust way back and biggest issue is that the fairings will hang loose underneath and probably damage over time.

i also have a full high mount arrow system on my mt07 (decat) and it sounds amazing but i let the baffel in because without its TO LOUD and u can feel it rumbling, but here in belgium u cant get over 86dB legaly wich i have with the baffel in

I'm going to say it as it needs to be said this sounds like an aprilia...... which is another premium Italian motorcycle manufacturer that should be considered along side Ducati. I have a 2012 Tuono V4 and just sat on one of these. Wow is it thin and comfortable. You sit more in the bike rather than on top of the bike. I bet this would be more fun actually since on public roads you would be able to rev it out a lot more and hear that awesome sound. Sat on a bunch of Japanese bikes as well. The European brands just feel so much more premium as they should because they're also more expensive. I wish this bike much success. Aprilia created a dominant bike with the v4 series for the last decade but hasn't capitalized as much as they should have in market share and prestige. Here, they've created yet another fantastic, market segment leading bike. Let's hope they get their dealers a good bit better in order so they can significantly increase awareness and market share like they deserve.

Such a fun motorcycle but such a lottery. Have not seen mine for the last 55 days. It went back to the dealer for the valve issue fix and since then it has been waiting for the parts. 55 days and counting. Next time I just buy Honda, not as much fun but at least I can ride my bike. Not loose half of the season calling my dealer each day to hear "sorry, we have no idea when your bike is going to be fixed".

Yam, did you throw a rod on it after ya revved it out in 2nd or 3rd? Just saw nhtsa report on the possible recall and it mentioned Austin TX.

Can someone please make an aftermarket exhaust that keeps the cool clean look of the underbelly exit! It looks so good without a pipe but taking the silver piece off that sits in front of the rear tire makes it look like something fell off of it!!

to be honest, the barky sound of these bikes and also the r1 will always be superior, in terms of sport bikes, i dont really like the h2, and r6 kind of sound. They just sound like the normal sport bike. but the rs660 and r1 kind of uneven sounds are so much butter
