    lithe slate 3 8.25 (skated maybe once a week for 8 months, maybe worth the crazy price), ace classic 33's (8.0 axle) with the 52 mm dragon formula 97 hardness andy wheels with the offset which make the small trucks make sense, bones medium hardness bushings, mob, reds... yeah

    The hardware thing, is the head of the allen key allows for better torque/less stripping compared to philips

    I'm gonna check out April boards next time at the shop, I'm looking for a little more concave too. Trying to get flip tricks easier.

    Have you ever found that too steep of a nose and it makes it really hard to pinch crooks all of a sudden? I just got a new complete & FA deck with this giant super steep scoop nose…and all of a sudden I can’t hold crooks. Grab my old board (still an FA but Dill’s shape, didn’t realize they were so different when I ordered the new one) and I can do them just fine again. It’s maddening. I also switched to spitfire 93’s and wondering if that’s effecting it too. Curious if anyone else has experienced that with too steep and long of a nose throwing the crook pinch off.

    I think it’s just that adjustment period with new shape and wheels. I actually feel nose and crook work better with the bigger n steeper noses but everyone has their preference! I think once u get use to it you’ll be chillin. Maybe try more weight on the nose when u get into crook

    Also if ur new wheels are wider than ur old ones that could also be making the difference locking into crook

    I used to like steeper kicks as a y young kid... as I got better my kick preference got lower. I hate steep kicks now-- they not versatile and just get in the way.

    Do rails make your board feel stiffer or is there really no difference?

  • @spencernuzzi

    @spencernuzzi

    No real difference. But I guess it makes it sturdier cuz u ain’t snapping the middle of the board with rails on it

    why would the head of the bolt(hex/phillips) make things tighter? makes no sense. Phillips just makes more sense-- less stripping, no big dust hole, and who the'fk has a allen wrench on them?
