You can tie or loop a lanyard around the post that the clip screw goes through, there’s plenty of clearance away from the blade and then the lanyard just sticks straight out the back. Very clean looking.

I’ve got a pair of these in the rose gold cerakote coming for my lightweight, already love my pair that’s on my other para 3 (the original non lightweight para 3 that is) and I can’t wait to see what the skinny mod is like and just to see how it all comes together on the lightweight. I actually really like the original FRN scales, definitely some of the best done FRN scales I’ve handled

I got these scales in brick red. They feel better than the base FRN handles, with barely any increase in weight. The cerakote/minor texturing they have seem to do well when it comes to the grip. I also have what seems like the only other scales to be found for the para 3 LW, which are the titanium ones that don't really have any extra milling to lower weight. Which makes them feel like heavy slabs compared to these scales.

I actually love the super lightweight plastic scales on the Para 3, but after the last time I took it down for cleaning I've never been able to get the blade recentered. Not a minor thing, I'm talking completely off center and rubbing like crazy. Looks like it's time for the AWT scales for this knife too, just got their email that they're available now!

18:59 lol that was my experience with my two rex 45 blades. I thought sharpening was going to take forever but on both knives it was actually one of the best sharpening experiences I've had. The steel removal isn't the fastest but it's not slow either, and once you get to the actual apex and burr removal it's so predictable and does exactly what you want. The toothy edges with that steel are insane, only steel I've used that doesn't smooth out after a couple hours of yard work.

If I get any AWT scales for my Para3 it will be the Tequila Sunrise color. it would make my Para 3 more or less match my Cutlery Shoppe exclusive PM2 with a DLC Wharncliffe in CTS-XHP steel with Orange Scales. the exclusive PM2 has almost every feature I want so I won't feel the need to buy another knife for a while... unless of course they release a Para 3 with a Wharncliffe. The Wharncliffe can't do everything but it does what I for the vast majority of the time. for tasks which need another blade shape I have a back up.

Actually, there is a washer and bushing built right into the supposed no washer side. Watch Eric Glesser's video on design criteria and complete disassembly. My lw is better centered than my g10 was (which wasn't at all bad) and this should not be a cause of un-centered blades.

  • @Vladimir888RU

I dismantled my LW to measure the size of the bronze washer for an order for the future in the form of a spare. And after the reassembly, I adjusted ( centered ) the blade better than it was from the factory. P/s For proper alignment, it is necessary to tighten / loosen not only the axial screw, but all the others are the same.
