    For those international non-eu students who intend to study Medicine in Germany and have no knowledge on the language, do they have to go to preparatory colleges to learn German?

  • @stetobrain

    Depends, if you are eligible to study directly in germany then you don't need to attend preparatory courses, just going to language school is sufficient.

    There are a few, but to be honest they are really expensive and work together with universities that are situated outside of Germany( like the campus is in Germany the university itself somewhere else e.g in the UK). I wouldn't recommend to start studying medicine in Germany in English paying such fees, at the end you still need to learn German language to understand German patients. But still you if you interested you can check them out , one is in Hamburg , one in Frankfurt and one in Kassel. May I ask what Durchschnittsnote you obtained ? Do you think there’s a chance for an international non-eu applicant with a 1,1 to get into med in Germany, as I’m aware it’s pre competitive ?

    Hi Johongir, you should submit the C1 certificate or TestDaf before the application deadline together with all other documents needed for the university. Usually its 15.07 for Winter intake, but some universities have individual deadlines.

    If I get to study Med in Germany won’t the universities accept psychology instead of physics?? I'm from SL

  • @stetobrain

    @stetobrain

    Actually the subject combination is not so relevant. You can also apply with A-level psychology.What matters the most is your results after converting into the German Note system.This has the highest weight in the admission, secondary is that you prove enough german language skills e.g. through Testdaf /C1-Zerifikat. Hope I could help you a little bit.

  • @stetobrain

    @stetobrain

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Sajani, actually there is no official minimum cut-off A-level results. Same as in Sri lanka, in Germany also there is a huge competition for medical seats. So the higher your results the more chance to enter medicine in Germany. Roughly if you have more than 3B then there is a possibility.Wish you all the best for your A Levels.

    there is no minimum depends on that number and results of other candidates applying for that university. Minimum needed to apply is 3C. To get admission I would say min 2A B or A 2B at least . Wish you all the Best in your A Levels.

    Hi, what I understood is, if a student passes A level in Phy, chem,bio and has a C1 level proficiency in German language then he's qualified for applying in a medical university, But what's the actual selection criteria for getting admission in public universities, What % of seats alloted for international students.

  • @stetobrain

    @stetobrain

    Жыл бұрын

    Roughly 2-4 % of seats are allocated for non-europeans students. Your A Levels marks counts, the better the more chance of getting into. And also some universities call you for a interview and give more preferences to students who did well in the interviews.

    @@stetobrain And how's the GPA calculated? The universities take in to account the A level marks/ grades or the marks obtained by the students from high school diploma? Regarding uni assist for application, is it needed to apply everytime while applying for individual universities or only once is enough ?

  • @stetobrain

    @stetobrain

    Жыл бұрын

    Only one application to uniassis. There you have to chose all the universities where you want to apply and they will forward them. Exactly Uni assist calculates the German equivalent of your high school grade based on your results in each subject.
