Using the plastic that protects the OCA, you can slide it under the digitizer flex using some IPA with the vacuum heat plate and slowly edge over to a corner where you can insert the wire and finish it or meticulously continue with the plastic and IPA

I ripped the tiny 3rd ribbon out of the body of mine on accident. But I don't see a connector for it. What is that?

It’s a grounder for static that the screen receives from your body. The screen has other ways to ground out so you don’t damage things while waking across carpet for example so you should be ok if it was just that but be careful next time as it’s nice to not damage it.

Great question, they aren’t waterproof to begin with but water resistant. However once a watch is damaged you never know if all of it is resistant still as there are several places water can get in other than the screen area. I do my best to seal it again, but that being said I don’t recommend swimming with it as I don’t think it’s worth the risk new or repaired.

Yeah all of those equipment are good just for vendors or big numbers, if u need to change just the glass of the Apple Watch it’s not worthy.. like hundreds of dollars just to a lil repair? No thanks, I’m keep swapping screens 👍🏼

That’s correct, you need big numbers to make it worth it. It should only take a couple dozen repairs to regain your investment, but that’s what it is, an investment if you see a demand for it.

It’s technically possible to use another heat source like a heat gun but that’s just making it harder and more prone to going wrong during the repair.
