He got the 40mm! Man of culture. I recommend this size to anyone on the fence. This year it has a better battery to screen ratio than ever. We can finally stop wearing cellphones on our wrist 😆

i just got my Series 5 in January, it’s way too early for me to upgrade AND there aren’t enough differences to justify upgrading.

Measure twice, order once. I used a blank strip of paper and marked it then measured using a ruler. I reversed the strip and marked and measured again. Used their instructions to convert the measurement to the band size and rounded down. Came out perfect. This eliminates any chance you might somehow print their sizing tool with goofy dimensions.

I used the tool and the program on Apple's website and I was told to be a size 5. When I went in store to purchase one instead, a size 5 and even a 4 were too large for me! I'm a 3 and it fits perfect. I wonder if its the sizing tool they messed up on or the actual band itself?

I was the same, i have just upgraded my apple watch from a series 0 and now it is soo much faster and soo much better

Samesies! I just upgraded & am happily overwhelmed- so THIS is what the watch is supposed to act like! I love it! Keeping my old one till it bloats like a spicy pillow - but I’m totes loving the series 6! (I got the product red)

How does it hold up to water/sweat? I workout and shower with my watch, wondering if that would degrade the material.

The new blue color is only available to the Series 6, the SE can only be in Grey, a slightly darker Grey, and gold.

I’m using series 4 but thinking about upgrading to the 6. Don’t know if it offers considerably more than the 4. I like the new colors

What size is your band? I’m hesitating between size 7 or 8 for workout. When I’m using the thing to measure the band size I’m size 8 when it’s not too tight but when it is im size 7 so don’t know :(

hey ken, just a heads up, apple updated their policy. if the braided solo loop or regular solo loop doesn't fit you can exchange Just the band for the correct size you need.

Is the braided solo loop compatible with the Nike Series 6?

I have the series 0 aluminum space gray 38mm and I'm about to buy the 44mm navy blue series 6 we are kinda on the same position here cuz I also missed out on watchos 4, 5, 6, 7

Which is why I bought the loops in size 5 even though the measurement said between 6 and 7. The 6 I tried on was snug and the 5 is slightly more snug but was comfortable.

I just ordered an Apple Watch SE 2nd Generation with a solo loop and I’m sure it’ll fit me because I ordered it in stores and an employee helped me find the right size (I tried on the watch with different sizes). I’m REALLY excited for it to come in!

Does the solo loop have any impact on the slots where it is connected to the watch face? I feel like daily stretching might strain the connection and cause damage over time - this is the only thing I'm hung up on regarding the solo loop.

Only came across your site a couple of weeks ago so I’m catching up on older episodes. Excellent stuff, at last a sensible and intelligent channel of this type, most are just unwatchable after 30 seconds. Inventor been a user of Apple products since the 80s (through the graphics arts business primarily, as Windows had not been launched back then) and obviously bought an original Apple Watch which is still going strong,despite a few soakings. I’ve been tempted, though I’ll be using my black stainless butterfly strap if I do and to be honest, I’m not a fan of a constant display.

I’m REALLY a fan of product red and I LOVE the combo of the black band with the red watch. I just die for it

From what I was told (my band was too large) was that I could swap out just the band if an Apple Store was actually open; but no, they're all closed, so the only way is to return the watch and the band.

I ordered my blue Solo Loop on the phone with Apple sales. I measure at 13.5cm, and they said to get a size two. I got the size one, and that’s the one that fits.

i just wanted to this because i think its similar to the topic of this video so i got the new apple watch se with i got the nike edition band and there was a defect with the batch of the band i got (the bottom band was not clicking into the watch) so i had to go to the apple store and return the watch 3 times until i got a band that worked just wanted to tell my story.

Excellent review. I just purchased the SE and love it. I need want to spend the extra $$$ and didn’t need all the extras. I didn’t want to wait for the Series 7. Maybe next year I’ll trade in the SE and purchase the Series 7. I do like the braided band in charcoal gray.

Hey ken would like to know how long the battery lasts. I won’t be getting a series 6 I got a series 5 for my birthday in January.

I’m also coming from series 0 but I went with the Nike SE

I just updated my watch. I had the zero space black stainless. It is still built like a tank. I was scared. I bought a refurbished space black stainless series 4. It came with felt cover for watch case stainless charger and a brick. I got a great price and a premium feel and unboxing experience.

SE doesn’t have the blue or red casing options.

Hey would it be possible to try the solo loop with your S0? I have the same one and like the sound of the new band but it says it's only compatible with S4 and higher, I thought it was weird since they all used the same mechanism as far as I knew 😅

I think that the solo loop is compatible with series 4 - 6 because the series 4 - 6 have 40 and 44 mm cases, but series 0 - 3 have 38 and 42 mm

@@Maciek2846 I always thought the sizes of the actual watches were the same but S4 and better just have bigger screens because of the new design. Doesn't really matter now since I upgraded to a Huawei Watch GT 2 but would still be nice to know for anyone on the S0, bc that still works fine.

That band looks like it's a smidge too big. Your fitment is how I like to wear my watches but I'm not sure that's how I'll like my fitness watch and maybe the sensors need to be snug on your wrist for more accurate readings?

Trust me, the loop retracts a little bit when it sits on my wrist for a minute. It's a perfect fit.

Correction: The blue is exclusive to the Series 6, but not the SE

I always thought the Apple Watch was dumb. Didn’t see a point in it when I literally always have my phone in my hand. That is till I started losing my phone all over my store cause so many people txt me through your the day with my job. So I got the blue series 6 and live it can’t believe I ever lived without it 😂💙

I definitely would not buy a loop. Does look nice, but the Velcro band are very nice too and adjustable... which I want, looser when it's a bit too tight, tighter when sporting etc.

If you’re buying one of the new closed bands then you should try to get into a store to actually see what fits. If the stores aren’t open then just wait. Get the regular adjustable band and then get the other later when you can insure it fits
