@@2009bigchief to be honest, and it's mindbogglingly to me as to why android has never implemented this, the only thing I still liked more the iPhone to all my later android machines was the fact that I could very easily start watching a video on the pc, resume it exactly where I stopped watching on the phone and vice versa. Same thing with music. I believe that even this is broken with iTunes too. Why doesn't android and windows do this? Strange...

It's a good fix. I've done a couple myself on series 2 and 3 (yet to record and upload videos). I've even done a complete housing transfer although it does require a really good tool that doesn't chip away after the first couple of screws. While doing mine I was thinking a lot about apple not allowing repairs on the iwatch too. Maybe you could just replace the digitizer if the lcd is still intact. By doing this you would be using the original electronics. I also found a cheaper way to repair iwatches which I'll probably have it in my videos if I ever upload.

As someone who used to work as an apple premium resller, i can comfirm that all apple repair service center just replaces 1for1 apple watch. The tip with getting an apple watch is to always get AppleCare or you'll just be prepared to buy a new watch instead of sending it for "repair"

After my friend cracked his one, I said to him "shall I replace that for you", he kept saying "naaaah it's fine". One day, about 6 months later after a lot more abuse and the display getting worse and worse, we were sitting in the doctor's surgery getting glass picked out from deep in the tips of his fingers when he said "ok, can you repair it for me". It's fair to say he's an agressive swiper and the bad cracking didn't help. FYI the glass just levered up into his fingers, he also kept slicing himself on it too

I can see how replacing the nfc components can be dangerous especially when it comes to something like paying. But still it should be much easier to repair these wearable products instead of them just ending up as e-waste

Another great video Hugh! I am an apple fan but not biosed. I think it's wrong about Touch ID, face id, true tone etc... But I am with apple on the Apple Pay issue. A repair shop may install a "hacked up" NFC chip and may steal credit card info. I don't like the way apple is going, I love all their products, but they're so unreliable it seems illegal!

Question : I have an apple watch series 1 that cant turn on while in charging. I have to put it on the charger and then when I hold the power button, the Apple logo shows up and fades away (repeatedly). I have kept this watch like this in charge for two days, but it won't go into the home screen. Can you please help me?

🤣I wasn't sure if you were serious when you said the watch owner broke the watch by putting it on. Almost sounds like I got a black eye while shaving 🤣. Had the same power-on issue disconnecting the screen flex cable of a 2018 Macbook Pro. It had 75% charge, but wouldn't turn on till connecting the charger.
