Got the new SE 2 as as my entry into apple watch and I was surprised to see that their fitness tracker was able to not only track my swimming distance accurately, but was also able to track whichever swimming style I was doing during each laps. Technology is insane.

@@AJ-zo4pr I have one, and I've had earlier models. Honestly, if you're just a normal careful person who doesn't have trouble damaging your regular watch's face, the case is more of a cosmetic thing. They have nice designs. But it really becomes a hassle to switch so frequently. For example, having it in a case can be a little cumbersome if you switch bands frequently, and I had to because I would change back to the basic silicon band when I'd work out, but when I'd go to work or go out, I would change back to the cased band. I'd say its not necessary unless you're planning on flailing your arms around haha

I recently purchased an Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen) and can't wait to get it. It arrived on the island on Monday, so I will get it on Tuesday. I was trying to decide between the 8 and the SE, but decided to go with the cheaper option and am glad I watched this video review because I feel a lot better about my choice. Thank you.

I gotten Apple Watch SE the 1st generation back in April 2022. I need the watch for this one app to start my vehicle up. I was using an Apple Watch series 2 for almost 2 years. I even have series 1. 1 and 2 are not enable to updated. It was a big upgrade for me. I even got it in Target in space grey colored. I do have Apple Watch bands that I still use with the SE.

I was considering getting the SE2 as my first Apple Watch, but decided to get the non-cellular Nike Series 7 instead. Reasons included always on, dust resistance, non-plastic back and fast charging. I think I made the right decision, even though it was more expensive.

its a great decision, I have the 1st gen SE, and when I upgrade (prob next year) it will probably be for those two main reasons, always on and fast charging, otherwise the SE is just as great as the normal S7 and S8 watches, but those are good points to check in before buying

Does the lack of blood oxygen sensor and temperature sensors make the sleep tracking less accurate than the series 8? How does the sleep tracking compare to the Garmin Venu?
Do you think this watch would be a good entry smart watch for someone that just interested in tracking fitness & having a regular smart watch features? The ultra & other models seem steep in price.

Hello. Great video.. What be your recommendation between an Apple Watch SE 2n gen and a Garmin Venu 2? I already use a Garmin Edge 530 for cycling. I would like a purchase a fitness watch for start running and track my progression.
With the cellular apple watch SE what data plan does it need like can you go into more information please or can someone from the comments please help me?
My new SE started tracking split times on my walking but now it’s stopped. Have you any idea how I can have this on all the time. Thanks
To bad low power mode can't be customized... like turn off my screen and notifications but keep heart rate tracking at normal interval or what not
Hey @DesFit, it it true that the S8 chip in the SE2 is actually a dialed down version of the Series 8 & not the exact same chipset in terms of performance?
I hold my wallet at the first gen SE and been waiting for the new, i might buy the SE 2.
Will this be better than my forerunner 45? Assuming I’m looking at this primarily from a running perspective. Will the SE 2 work with Stryd? As Stryd does not work with the forerunner 45. Keep in mind I’m pretty serious about running. I regularly run 50-70miles per week. The garmin forerunner 45 is truly bare bones, but the GPS is not super accurate in my urban area. It’s served me for my average pace and tracking miles, but if I want to begin to use Stryd foot pod, I can’t….I’m also a bit over the poor GPS tracking. I’m also curious how the running power is on this compared to Stryd.
Can the SE2 include time of day in the workout voice feedback? If yes how is it enabled. A feature I loved in Mapmywalk. Regards Des
I’m deciding between this SE 2 and Vivosmart 5. I do strength training along with cycling. What’s holding me back is the fact that it’s a smartwatch, which I am not really a fan of 😂 But do you think it’s worth an extra $100 over the vivosmart 5?

I just picked up an SE 2 GPS version and did my first run with NRC in a pretty densely populated area. Gotta say I’m pretty disappointed with the mapping of my run afterwards. It has me running off streets and straight through buildings… How can I fix this, I’m sure I’ve set it up wrong?
I have found if I use the Workout Low Power Mode, not the general Low Power Mode, some of the heart rate data has been missing on some of my workouts. On one occasion it was a full 7 minutes before it started working again during the same workout. Due to this issue, I don’t bother with any of the Low Power modes any longer.

Hi everyone, I'm considering buying my first apple watch exclusively to train, do someone know whether or not the apple watch se is compatible with cycling sensors? in particular the Bontrager duo trap S and the Garmin speed and cadence sensor.
Can you comment if the SE version connect with TrainingPeaks?
I have a Macbook, iPhone, iPad and Airpods (and multiple versions of some) yetttt still use a Fitbit Charge 5. I would really love to get a watch and round out that ecosystem and the SE seems the choice as its the smallest and I don't want all the bells and whistles. But the battery life seems absolutely killer! I charge my Fitbit about once every 8-10 days and having to charge the SE daily seems like a chore. It also confuses me, sleep tracking is perhaps the most important part of a wearable to me but if you have to charge it overnight hows it going to do that?

Great informative video! I’m now star to run and cycling more so I wanna have data of my performance. But I cannot decide if I should buy this Apple Watch or the garmin fr 55, what do you recommend me?
@DesFit
Жыл бұрын
The FR 55 and an Apple Watch will be somewhat similar in terms of running features. At that price range an Apple Watch may be your best bet just because it has better iPhone integration but as you go up the Forerunner lineup to the FR 255/265 and up, those start to have features that aren't available on an Apple Watch like much more training and performance feedback, native cycling power meter support, and more advanced navigation features.
Garmin forerunner 245 or this apple watch?
Hi Des @desfit, long time follower of your fitness watch in depth reviews. I purchased my first fitness watch after watching your review of Vivoactive 4. Though my watch is still going strong, I can see a drop in battery backup. Just purchased my First iPhone and I want to experience the apple watch. P.S - I don't really use SpO2 in my older Vivoactive too.

Apple Watches tend to do this very well. I did a 4 mile treadmill run with both the Series 6 and the SE and they were both within a few hundredths of a mile off. I was intending on including a video of it but the darn treadmill turned off and stopped showing the final distance before I could capture it.
