Bought an SE 2 from a private seller for $250 US and being my first Apple Watch I just love it It actually restrain my need to grab my iPhone more often especially while I’m working

okay it’s surprising to see how many people bought the SE2 as their first watch. it’s my first Apple Watch too, I’ve been thinking of it for years because it’s way too expensive for a watch. I can finally afford it now. 💗

Thank you for these reviews. Thanks to a previous video I chose the SE2 over the SE1 and I am very happy I did.

I went from an SE to SE2, and it’s definitely an upgrade. Best is battery life but I also love how the screen area is bigger and the shape is more smooth. Unless you need an EKG or AOD, it’s the perfect watch at a really nice price. I got the Succulent band but do also have darker bands to swap out. Thank you for your thoughts as always!

@@jackysbin3860 I have the first gen SE. I had it since it came out, and the battery life sucks. I wish they had low power mode way earlier on the SE but I have to hurry and upgrade soon because my battery is getting worse.

​@@adriannanorwood i bought a used SE 1 4 days ago actually, arrived 2 days ago and though apple says up to 18 hours and the battery health on this thing is 89%, its definitely not living up to the standard. i think it might be 18 hours with like light use but idk i dont see this thing making it past 10 or 11 without low battery mode

@@jackysbin3860Trust me, it won’t make it. I use my Apple Watch heavily, and right now the battery isn’t doing too hot. This was before they finally added low battery. I totally recommend using low battery even though the battery is 89%. It saves the battery but my watch goes to 10% in just 9 hours with very heavy use.

We know you are a bit of style guru, Dion. Midnight is very neutral. As I used to sell high end Watches, I went for the Aluminum SE 2 with the Milanese bracelet as a first time user. Feels like a watch as opposed to wrist tech. As for the issue of the always on display? I grew up in the 70's where digital watches were the hot item...you had to turn your wrist AND press a button to see the time. Battery life has been good at 48 hours between charges.

Cellular is very cheap monthly add on like 10 to 15 dollar and you can share the same data plan and phone# as your regular phone but then turn your phone off and you can still use watch as a phone, welcome to the future!

I put on a tempered glass protector not long after I got mine. It was one you recommended on another video (or very similar). Works great so far and makes me less stressed about any major scratches. Added bonus, the squarer shape of the cover, makes it look like an Ultra model 😎

I don't think the scratches on the screen is something that happens only to the SE 2 since it's the same display as on Series 8.

Nice review. How did you get paint chip on the edge of your watch? Have you been abusing it? For comparison, I used the Amazfit GTS for 2 years straight (took off only when I showered & charged) and the case & screen are still ok. Too bad the watch finally RIP a couple weeks ago.

First time user of the Apple Watch and I'm loving it. Paying became a breeze and is my favourite function. Unlocking my intel iMac and MacBook and even my 1Password manager is a close second. Furthermore, shopping cards scanning (3rd party app), sleep and of course sport tracking is great too. Last but not least notifications and simply checking the time / weather etc. All in all, a happy user! Oh and by the way, my Apple Watch lasts a day and a night and in the morning i still have between 50% and 60% battery left. Throwing it on the charger in the morning for an hour is more than enough to last another day. So battery life is good too!

I upgraded from the Series 2 to the SE2 same color and band. It’s been great.

Moved from Android to Apple mostly because I wanted an Apple watch as they are known to be much more accurate than android equivalents. No regrets so far. Loving the apple ecosystem and 3 days into owning the SE 2, and couldn't be happier! Using mine mostly for fitness. Not sure what the 8 could offer that would ever sway me away from the SE range. It does everything I want and for a decent price! Great video

@@dankmeme8040 I haven't tried the watch 8 unfortunately so can't really give you the best advice. From my understanding, the 8 does have some additional monitoring features such as ECG and Temperature, however, the reviews I read mostly suggested that those are things you may only use once in a while, and the SE2 still has the core monitors that are most useful for everyday use. For running, the SE2 has been very accurate for me. I am happy with my SE2 so far, and I think the value for money is fantastic! If budget is no issue for you though, then maybe go with the series 8 for the slightly larger screen/extras. You will be happy with either IMO!

Same, the android versions I tried 3 and all returned for overheating after 2 minutes on LTE cell calls, garbage! Now have Apple Watch 9 LTE, fantastic no need for cell phone and no over heating problems cutting off phone calls!

The SE does a great job for $240 for me, workout tracker and sleep tracker. Money well spent.

I got Apple watch Se2 as my first apple watch and i have a i phone 13 . I am very happy with my purchase and it is very satisfying to use and seamlessly compatible which is apple known for ❤😇

The Mkeke iPhone tempered glass saved my iPhone 11 twice and they come with a clip-on jig that makes it impossible to put it on wrong. Always protect your Apple Screens with tempered-glass. It’s miles cheaper than replacing the phone when the actual screen breaks.

I am thinking of getting my first Apple Watch. Would the one with out cellular connect to the AirPod pro?

I don’t understand having always on display on a watch. I don’t need the screen on when I’m not looking at it. Just drains battery more I would think.

I got my SE(2) in silver yesterday afternoon from Target. I accidentally dropped my last Apple Watch SE on the floor in the bathroom. I put it on charge for overnight. I noticed a few cracks on the screen. Yikes!! I did used it a little bit. I kind of cut my finger a tiny bit on one of the cracks. I got it in a smaller size so that I still can used my watch bands towards it. I even have series 1 and 2 that I bought refurbished. They are just backup. I can’t get those updated as current Apple Watches.

I went into my local Apple Store thinking I’d be choosing the darker colour, but was unsure of the size. After trying out all the colours/sizes/models, I surprised myself because I preferred the lighter colour. I actually went for the Series 7 41 Nike. It’s my first Apple Watch, and I’ll hopefully be keeping it for a few years.

I actually got it as my 2nd Apple Watch. My friend had given me his 3rd gen and I upgraded to this and I love it. Don’t see any real reason to pay for a series 8 or whatever…

no, the SE2 doesn't have always on display. if you have the cellular version of apple watch then you will be able to listen to music without your phone, otherwise you'll need to download all the songs. you should be able to connect your earbuds to your apple watch, but that really depends on your earbuds manufacturer. SE2 also has a stopwatch.

I have the series 3 right now. I’m debating between the series SE 2nd Ed or the series 9.

Series 9 if your willing to pay an extra $150 however for the little differences I would suggest the se 2 for 90% of people

Finally have to upgrade from a series 2 and got the SE2 lol. It is being delivered Saturday.

Ok, first I wanted to say that your videos are amazing and I love how you don’t go to fast as new Apple Watch user like myself are trying to grasp all of this. I’m going to ask a few questions as I’m going through this video. 1) I noticed when you talked about listening to music with your earphones your watch showed the same display as mine does when I’m watching KZread on my phone. I wondered why my watch was doing this and thought that’s got to be running my battery down. Is there a way to stop my watch from trying to pick up my KZread watching while on my phone? 2) the Apple Pay. Aren’t you concerned that if you get to close to some with your watch it could pay for something that you didn’t intend on? I fear the same thing with these credit/debit cards with this tap feature. I’m worried that if I get to close to things it could detect my card or watch and somehow pay for something I didn’t want. Could this actually happen? I’m concerned about that.

Hi, thanks for your kind feedback! Concerning the questions. 1. Yes, you can turn this feature off in the settings but I would not suggest it as it saves very little battery 2. I was concerned about this as well, but there enough safeguards, especially as you have to double sideclick and then choose the card. So, rather safe! best, Dion

Apple pay isn't always on, so there's nothing to worry about. When paying for something, you have to open the app and push buttons to pay. It doesn't pick up just by proximity. Perfectly safe.

I’d recommend going with the cellular version if you’ve got extra cash to spare. I always go to the gym without my phone, just with Apple watch and Airpods. This frees my of hassle of finding a place to keep my phone as i move from one workout to another. Its freeing to be not carrying around a brick in my pocket or in my hand at the gym. In addition, even while I’m at work, i leave my phone at desk and go to meetings with only laptop and watch. My screen time as reduced significantly, more than half reduction in fact. So glad i went with the cellular version.

I'm sure if you look around you can find a brand new series 1, but why would you want a new 3 year old watch?? You'd be buying something that's already outdated and isn't going to be updated for long. That would be like buying a new black and white TV...
