UPDATE: Blackmagic just reached out asking asking if I want to test it out - not sponsored. I said sure, so once I get my hands on it I will review it for you guys.
Would looooove to see your Davinci resolve workflow
Long time DaVinci Studio user and I also did notice that where there are only two tabs (cut and Color pages). BUT, in the video, they said that you can edit, color AND do Special Effects on the iPad using Resolve! Does that imply Fusion? Also, I edit my Podcasts on Fairlight and I hope they include that as well!

I think this could be just simple open fx or transitions , I don’t think fusion would be included at least not the start. I spoke with blackmagic and they said Davinci is trying to gain more everyday users with easy to use program.

@@MrTechTok An update I heard in the forums is that the Cut Page will receive new Audio Capabilities such as adding effects and volume keyframes. BMD did say that they will add new audio capabilities to the Cut Page in their announcement. Since I'm a long-time FCPX and DVR Studio user, using the Cut Page wont be a steep one since although I use the Edit Page often, the Cut Page is very Final Cut-like. Great video, btw.
I need a bigger iPad 15.5inch please
thank god finally we can take ipad serious. is it for ipad 2022 only or it can run on older M1 and alpha versions?

@@MrTechTok are you sure? there is no reason to ignore M1
I am thinking of getting the 2022 MacBook Pro M2 I have a black magic 4k and davinci resolve…. I’m hoping to do a lot of layering ,grading and fx like they have in trap music and such. Could it handle that then perhaps without issues?

honestly this really depends on the codec. If you do 420 it’s easy if you do 422 the. You will have tough time. I would wait for m2 max or ultra
Some haters don't even realise that there are so many advantages with editing on an iPad. I am a long-time FCPX and DVR Studio user but I also use Luma Fusion extensively. The Workflow where you use the Apple pencil for precise Clip Editing and your fingers for Timeline scrubbing is extremely intuitive and quick! Been using this method on my Same Day wedding edits on the spot using minimal surface area and in some cases, my lap! Most critics never even tried doing this and yet comment negatively!

They are just mad that Android doesn’t have pro Apps and is not as good in video editing as the iPad the iPad gets davinci resolve meanwhile android users is still whiting to get LumaFusion
Even Davinci resolve it’s not game changing. I have studio on my MacBook Pro. It’s great. But Luma fusion is freaking awesome. In some ways. It’s even better. The color grading is so easy and fantastic. The interface is awesome for the iPad. I feel so sorry for LumaFusion that everyone is like, yeah this is game changing. It’s the same thing we’ve had for years.
Bye ii lumafusion 😂

Maybe. Maybe not. The systems requirements for LumaFusion will be lower than those for DVR, which is optimized for 12.9” M2 iPad Pros. I can use lumafusion on a 2018 iPad. The upshot is that there’s still a market for lumafusion and other semi-pro editing apps.

LumaFusion could be great but sadly they lack in some basic features such as speed-ramp, transitions etc…
Davince will suck on the iPad. The fact apple has ported their own apps over should tell you all you need to know about “pro” level apps on the iPad.
