    If someone steals from you and you don't report it, the problem's only gonna get worse. And if you're concerned about the father being upset, he would be more upset when he learns the extent because it is carrying on for years and years. When someone steals from you, report it

    Why is it that cultures that don’t believe in polygamy always say the wife is married to the whole family?

    I know these stories are from Japan but its so demeaning. Samantha is a spinless protagonist who sat back and stayed quiet about her stuff being stolen and being turned into personal slave in order to consider the parents feelings!? This is so stupid and self demeaning.

    It's just mind boggling how Carrie thinks she is above the law and the justice system. Honey you did really bad things to a lot of people and that's why you are going to prison

  • @lindasavelle1731

    @lindasavelle1731

    She's not going to prison for stealing OPs stuff because OP is too good a Japanese girl to press charges against a family member. She is going to jail for stealing the stuff of people who aren't doormats. This is a very Japanese story from APPLE where the quiet, self-sacrificing daughter in law gets rescued from abusive servitude by the powerful patriarch of the family. Of course her husband does nothing ( well he does impregnate her, which helps her status so I guess he's not totally useless in the Japanese scheme of things).

    Why would you hire a private attorney when a Prosecutor would handle the case . Why waste your money . Aren't you putting a cart before the horse ? And besides , if the sister in law is found guilty The judge would order for the Sister in Law would have to pay restitution . Hiring a private lawyer is a colossal waste of money. Another thing Grand Theft and Assault are both Felonies .

    @freyasslain2203 As @@hypsyzygy506 already said it depends on the law of the country you’re in. I live in an European country and here, while the prosecutor would handle great theft and assault, you would have to sue privately for restitution. There is the possibility to combine both court cases in which case there would be the prosecutor and the victim’s lawyer in attendance.

    19:54 "And there is also the chance that you'll try to tamper with any evidence or witnesses." AND THIS IS WHY YOU NEVER WARN THE VILLAIN THAT YOU'RE GETTING THE POLICE INVOLVED! Unless, of course, it's your plan to FILM THEM tampering with evidence and witnesses. In which case, sneaky lure is sneaky. But if you're not doing a sting, giving a warning is stupid. When you're in a battle, the "warning shot" should be right across the enemy commander's torso.
