Possibly, I was a little disappointed you didn’t talk about how the magnets effect the compass app. It’s a lot of money to then have it not allow certain functions to work. Any chance you can give us an update with that info? :)

No joke I ordered it within minutes and they just arrived a couple days ago! but had to do the announcement post and the Apple TV video before I could release this!

Hi , how is the leather band now? And do you recommended it for daily use?

I did pick up the Poppy and it has become by favorite band. I also considered the blue, but the Poppy really pops.

My Baltic blue should be here in a couple of weeks!!

I have the black one and really like it! Much better than the leather loop. Comfortable too.

What is the total length of the band while attached to the watch face? I’m planning on ordering a 44mm with leather link, so that measurement would really help me choose which band size to order. This will be my first Apple Watch and band, so I have no other points of reference. I’d really appreciate it! Thanks.

Good review, but any watch band with magnets should get the ”refrigerator test” in a review. I had one that would unstrap itself when I would get too close to metal surfaces. It was very annoying.

But, it is good for sport, or i need have one more and change it everyday when i go tu run?

Very late to the party I am but I’ve ordered one for my 42 series 3 too , 45 one I believe, did I done goof?

FYI, there's a new magnetic charger for apple watches where you can charge it flat or like a night stand so the leather loop is not a problem in charging

will the magnet come off easily if the band snags on something?

is that the graphite stainless steel....hows it holding up scratch wise? thanks!

Just got the green version and I absolutely love it. It feels so comfortable and the colour is stunning

IMO green is the best color for this band. It looks so subtle in most places but in bright light, it’s a noticeable green

Was hoping the brown can flip to outaide. So it can be like latest sport loop have 2 colors mix

You sold me on that California Poppy. But that Baltic blue is nice too. Just ordered the poppy!

Small detail but I love that it comes with the 40 mm and not just 44

I have a question. My wrist size is 19cm But the leather link (Small) is sized up to 18cm. People always talk about, they want the band smaller. Should i get the small size ? Are the magnets still strong enough if the band is smaller ? I would be happy about every answer.

Okay, respect goes to you for being the only KZreadr who actually knows how to take a strap out of the box properly by folding the tabs down. Everyone else tears it vertically, damaging the edges of their strap. :)

Just got the black one for my graphite series7. Better looking and more comfortable than my sportband. My new go-to.

I really want one of these bands but I wonder how much easier these are for pick pockets to take off of someone. I’m working towards moving back to a big city and I’d hate for someone to swipe my watch.

I bought the Apple leather band with my Series 7. Is the band durable enough to run/hike with it? I’m guessing it isn’t made to swim in. What are your thoughts?

i never though yellow color can be this cool on hand, i should get that one as well. Metal band kept eating my arm hair, definitely don't want to wear it while asleep

So I got the new watch it’s incredible & the band in M/L. Though I have a smaller wrist it wraps around just fine. I’ll keep it.

How’s it holding up 2 years later?

How secure is it on your wrist? Could someone possibly grabs and steals it?

I love it. But kinda worried it'll be hard to maintain... any tips?

You can see my blue leather loop in this video that I got with my Apple Watch Series 0 like.. 6 years ago! It still looks great though it has a few bite marks from when we got a new kitten...! Other than that, leather cleaner will do just fine!

Hi, I have exactly the same wrist size. After seeing your video I've ordered the California poppy s/m version, because that would have been your way to go. But now I'm worried the magnets won't hold on so strong, because of the smaller magnetic surface. I mean; I don't like the thought of dropping my expensive watch on the floor, every moment of the day. As this video is a month old; how is your experience with the s/m size?

Same here. The solo loop measure gave me a 7. there is another KZread That is wearing the sports loop band and uses s/m, so he went with the s/m leather link. I am worried about the same like you do.. but I go with the s/m as well

I have mine almost a year and it’s still great. I have the Baltic blue colour. It hasn’t worn very much and it’s the only strap I wear. I don’t wear it in water (shower/pool) but I have gotten caught in the rain. No issue. I actually just bought another because I love it so much. I have the dark cherry now too.

I would wear the straps the other way around so that when you have your arms on the table other people don't look at the end of the strap.

Don't have the blue watch, this is the Graphite Series 6, 44mm.

I've found that the California Poppy does not stay clean. It easily begins to blacken and there is no good way to clean it.

I love the Magnet 🧲 Band is sooo nice I got blue and now I’m waiting for brown leather

Grabbed one today but thinking of returning. I noticed it loosens up quickly. Not working out with it or anything, just causal wear. Anyone else run into this problem?

Gr8 band but wish, it was wearable both sides..

Could you do a really hard shake test for a video maybe? I'm just wondering if I'll always be paranoid about this falling off

@@tipoomaster Yes - I have a California Poppy color in M/L size. I suspect it would be near impossible to shake off even with the most violent swing you could muster. Each magnet is very strong and when it wraps around my wrist I have 14 of them connected - it's secure!

Always go for M/L as it’s a whole lot more secure due to more magnets interlocking

I got my M/L watch band today, the long band covers almost the entire section of the magnets from the shorter band. Wasn‘t sure whether it‘s supposed to be that long but at least it holds like a charm.

I recently purchased the Apple 6 stainless steel gold with the black leather loop and I also ordered the baltic blue leather loop. The only issue is that I have to wait approximately 45 days before they arrive. The waiting sucks but I hope it is worth the wait.

Are these straps washable? As they’re made of leather, which usually doesn’t do well in water.

They aren't unfinished leather so they do hold up with water from the rain or washing your hands, but I wouldn't swim with them or run them under the sink in an attempt to wash them. You can use leather cleaner on them though.

The leather loop is much more elegant.

Did you try the shorter piece on top of the long one? It may work and look better

Call me boring but I love the black version best. I picked that one up.

My biggest question: How secure are the magnets? I have large wrists and I’m worried it will fall off.

They are very strong kind of magnets. Not what you commonly see. Maybe neodymium magnets

does the magnet interfere/affect stuff in daily life i.e. stick to metal things

This problem didn’t even occur to me. My desk at work has a metal layer on top and I’m curious of the same.

Will those magnets in the strap interfere with the compass of the watch? The iGyaan series 6 video which showcased a Milanese loop definitely struggle with the compass showing wrong direction.

Where did you get the yellow band what brand is it?

My wrist is 6,70 " and I can't decide wich size is best for a 44mm Watch..

Gonna get my apple watch on the 24th! I ordered the: Series 6 + Black leather link I was actually going for the braided solo loop for $679 SGD alongside with the S6. but then I came across the leather link and I wanted to see how it looks like on wrist. Haven’t got the time to go to an Apple store in SG. Really excited to unbox my S6 with the leather link! This video definitely helped me alot!

The leather looks a bit weird.

I would love to see what the leather bands patina looks like!

I'll add a pic to the review (link in description) after a few months so you can see how it ages. I also show off the leather loop in this vid which is -- no joke -- from my original Series 0 Apple Watch years ago! And it still looks great!

There’s the problem. If you move your hand back and forth or tighten your arm, the arm becomes a little thicker and thus exerts pressure from the inside, which causes the magnets of the two bands that attach to each other to slip minimally. This happens quickly several times within a short period of time. As a result, the band expands somewhat and is no longer firmly, but only loosely, which means that the band can be used several times a day

The problem with this magnetic bands (milanese loop too) is that affects the compass functionality...

@@jericoba Yes, check on the bottom of the apple web page about the milanese loop. (the light grey part) It states about the non water resistancy and the compass interfering. Every magnetic bands affect the compass function because the magnet itself in the bands.

Do you like the new leather link band better than the one that came out with the original Apple Watch?

Small would not be as secure on you, more magnets connected the better.

The loop is supposed to be on the inside of your wrist not outside

yeah thats how my AW SE44 fell off my wrist and turned into pieces

I bought the titanium 44mm series 6 and I had it packaged with the blue leather band and after trying a sport band and a sport loop they are nowhere close to as premium as the leather band, I love the blue, but I had already ordered the poppy one, before I saw your vid, but your vid got me more excited for it. nice vid.

I really do t like the look of these, I’ve also seen how easily someone could snatch your watch off your wrist with this design. A guy showed his 5 year old taking it off his wrist with one hand. The leather loop looks much better in my opinion. It’s too bad Apple stopped making them. Thankfully I found one at Best Buy to go with my new Series 7😀
