Over the years I’ve stopped buying non-Apple branded stuff because I got tired of ordering something that looked like a quality product online but ended up being total garbage. Yet my longest lasting and favorite watch band I’ve ever owned is a $15 Milanese loop knockoff. There are so many products out there and faults aren’t always apparent in the first week or so. It takes someone willing to buy and use a lot of crappy stuff to make it worth returning to non-Apple branded gear. I appreciate how much work you guys are putting in to make these videos. I bought the Ringke Onyx iPhone case after one of your reviews. It’s amazing! I’d like to compare it to other cases that adopted the same philosophy of being thin but strong at the corners, and have small bumps to balance the camera bump. Are there other cases like that?

I have the leather link from WSC (The Watch Strap Company)London in Navy blue and genuine leather, as I could not find any other leather link straps by apple that matched the colour of my series 6 navy blue watch. It does look and feel very comfortable with very strong magnets but is possibly a bit narrower and definitely thinner than the apple ones. It was half the price. Still a great alternative to match the colour though!

Have you tried or seen silicone link bands? They're rather interesting and can be quite comfortable.

I am looking for original apple with the color you have in videos. Its like they discontinued it.

Mous came out with an Apple Watch screen protector. Could you please give you opinion on it? I like the Mous brand and really would like a review of all their products like their MagSafe accessories.

So when you mentioned one-way-magnets it caught my attention. Does that mean the Apple band won’t get stuck on magnetic or stainless steel surfaces so I could lose it? I‘m asking because I‘m a little worried it might fall of my wrist when I rest my arm on a steel table and lift it back up. I have a 3rd party Milanese loop with magnetic clasp and the clasp always sticks to metal surfaces but since it’s a loop it can’t just go free falling on me LOL

Third party leather links may *look* similar at first but they are *all* made out of the same synthetic leather that becomes flaky over time. If you want the full experience that will last, nothing beats the official leather band.

was thinking of getting one of these bands just coz of how good they look but I changed my mind. I'm too paranoid that my watch could be grabbed easily from my wrist

I play with mine all the time too Val 😉 but definitely prefer the Apple Original one, I don’t mind paying the price if I know I can exchange it quickly if faulty and I’m assuming I’ll get many years out of it compared to the cheap ones.

Apple made accessories usually ARE worth the extra money in my experience. Clear case for iPhone 12 - looks and holds amazingly after more than an year of daily use. Other similar cases I’ve used in the past have yellowed, deformed etc. Apple Watch sports loop that came with my previous watch - still looks brand new after years of use. In comparison the 3 knock-offs I got during that time did deform, stain, and the material feels rougher on the skin. So yeah, the Apple tax is worth it 👍🏻

I’ve tried a few of the knockoffs with similar results to yours. IMO Apple leather link is super overpriced, but for me it’s 100% worth the premium over the knockoffs. I will say that the knockoffs I kept and didn’t return are made of much more interesting colors than the Apple straps, so that’s one benefit.

How is it super overpriced if non of the knockoffs, even the $40 one can come even close to the original?? personally, I think it is a fair price for what you get, it's not like Gucci or other luxury brands where you're paying that premium for the name only. Also, you've already spent so much on the watch, why cheapen its look??

Apple bands are too pricey, but the bands are tough and survive much more than the cheap ones. So it’s worth it. Waiting for my second Apple’s Leather Link to arrive. 😎

I found a silicone magnetic band like these leather ones on amazon and it holds up amazing. Would recommend that.

The leather link band is super comfortable. That being said do not get it, I am literally on my 3rd one in a year, Apple has warrantied it twice now. I don't get it in water, work out it it, nothing but the two other started delaminating on the edges within a few months. I just bought a Milanese loop instead last week since I don't want to go through the process of replacing the leather link again in a few months.

One fun thing is if you’re ever in Asia particular China and adjacent you can get much better fakes. Little more expensive probably 25 bucks but they’ll be 90% as good if you look around. It’s really fun going through a market and finding good stuff.

I’m a little disappointed as my Apple leather band has quite a bit of wear on the bottom side where it rests on the desk when I’m working. The leather is very thin.

Would love to see a video on straps that are good during summer, or the most sweat resistant/cooling.

The most breathable bands I've found so far are the velcro sport loop styles either from Apple or the knockoff versions. They're easy to clean too and dry quickly. Just put them in a laundry bag for delicates and throw them in the washer with your regular laundry.

I have an apple leather link and it’s the best Apple Watch band I’ve ever used in my honest opinion.

The Apple Bands are so expensive but just a lot better quality so I think I’d rather just go with the Apple Band. Good Review though. ⌚️😎👍🏼

By saving money on knock off off strap, I can change new Apple watch and Iphone every series, besides with less then 10bucks I usually just throw them away after it starts to look old, is a no brainer really 😂

The only "real" Apple watch bands i will purchase are the 1. Sports Bands pin n tuck because they just feel good, fluff and lint and hair do not get stuck on them and they are silky smooth from new to not so new, unlike the knock offs which feel cheap n nasty and dont have that smooth silky feel & the Nike velcro sports band as i find they dont frey like the knock off. I refuse to pay big bucks on the Milenese bands for the slight slight difference and you can basically get em for $5 these days from ebay or shien and the 3 colours i have purchased ive had for 4 years and they have not deteriorated at all and the other is the is the leather band, i prefer the old leather combo the ones you feed thru the loop not these ones your showing here. I have 2 knock offs both REAL leather and to date 3 years down the track still look awesome and do the job. 😊 Thanks for all your Video's i really enjoy watching them and find i watch till the end because you make em fun 😉🇦🇺

Got the official apple one for 100€ less than a year ago. Been using it sporadically, trying to avoid sweat and dampness. Right now it's coming apart. Interior leather has bumps and has become grainy. The borders are peeling. Would NOT recommend wasting 100€/$ on this product.

Well...to me they all look bad and cheap. I really don't like that style of strap, even the Apple OEM one looks cheap imo. I prefer it on the braided solo loop or the sport loop. If I wanted a leather strap (not that I do on an Apple watch - to me it doesn't work), I would just get an adapter and use a "regular" good quality leather strap. But hey, this is all subjective :)

I got some for $5 online. Not as perfect as the apple ones I’ve seen but would i rather have 20 of them or one $100 apple one? Considering the price and the fact they’re all made by chinese slaves in some sweatshop, the $5 ones are the way better deal.

Hoenslty, I'll never fork over the money unless I have a voucher for the apple and Samsung bands. 100% they are high quality and will last but it costs them a few bucks to get made. What I prefer to do is buy bands from watch brands like Fossil or smthn when they're on sale. They tend to be over priced too but when on sale they're decent but most importly the quality is still there. A mesh band I bought from fossil is much high quality and won't fray like the Chinese ones do and you'll likely spend more on replacing the chinise ones than going for a name brand one. So it is worth it... just gotta shop around.
