The interviewer asked some very timely and important questions that are relevant for all of us, and she was very informed about Apple, generally. Good interview. It gave Tim Cook a chance to really state Apple’s policies clearly and decisively-It’s always the role of the interviewer to be humble and ask the questions she or he may already know the answers to. I’m sure I’m not the only one who believes Tim Cook has been a great CEO for Apple. He even risked jail time when he stood up for our privacy against the FBI who wanted new software to open our data. Steve Jobs was not going to make the same mistake twice-he knew what he was doing when he groomed Tim for this role.

It's actually her job to be "clueless", that's the role of a great interviewer. You think Oprah never knew the answers to the questions she'd ask her guests? In most cases she knew more than the guest did. It's the interviewer's role to give the guest the scope to explain their position to the most ignorant among us, the lowest common denominator of the general public, within the framework of the topic. It's an art that requires a great deal of humility, and background research. You can't ask the questions if you don't already know the answers.

Its truly amazing to see someone so inspiring and true to himself standing in the world spotlight for what he believes in. A pretty great role model for the next generation that's for sure. You were a great successor to Steve and he knew you would be, why else would he pick someone like yourself. Hope to have you head this company for the rest of your life as well. Especially now in these stormy moral and ethical technological times. We need someone heading one of the giants with a proper head on his shoulders. And where your morals and ethics are as a human being, I think you're the perfect one to be leading Apple through these "Rough Waters".

Good to see Tim Cook isn’t an SJW when it comes to LGBT rights. Level headed man. Well done.
it would better if there was subtitle to perceive the things clearly
Huh - the first thing that's come out of CNN that I actually like; bravo to the interviewer, and Tim Cook is just great lol
A nice marketing strategy... The current mobiles has a back up of more than 12hrs.. but Apple has a max of 8 hrs. The defect in the product is also being marketed in a great way...
Tim Cook great interview
Awesome, Tim is so right. Their goals is quality product, not “addiction”. Thank you Tim!
I don't have an Iphone but an IPOD. My screen notification is on par with my podcasts and music use.
I really love Tim's opinion. I really appreciate his view of so much things. Love it.
very good interviewer
this girl wanted the DETAILS & Tim was shoo shoo shooK!
Anyone knows what polo shirt he's wearing?
I love Apple. Their perspective on privacy is great and their products are amazing to use and at an affordable price to most people. I saw some windows machines with the same specs as iMac Pro going for about 1.5x the price.

Apple? I bought my Ipad 8 years ago. For some mistake (my 9 years old used it without my permission) my Ipad was locked and I cannot use it anymore. I bought it in one of a big mall in Jakarta, Indonesia but I dont know exactly which store is it I bought from. I do not have the purchase documents anymore. Password doesnt work anymore. And when I went to an Ipad seller, he asked me to fill in the password, and it is always wrong. What should I do?
Good interview Tim Cook! Thank you!
Humans turning into robots is already happening. So many people glued to their iPhones everyday and we are losing the human interaction aspect of life. I also agree that data is power.

Tim Cook is ok, but Steve Jobs was great at interviews:)
6:29 there you have it! the slick slip of his "but i told you there can be something embedded in our privacy policy"
He seems like a nice guy
I like apple's attitude towards users
Last 3 minutes he pitches the “watch”. Smart move
Please add caption in english
his normal, relaxed voice, sounds so commercial.
I laughed so hard when facebook showed up on the big screen at wwdc I was like bittttchhhhh
What a stud. She kept baiting him and he handled her questions like a pro!
That’s why i don’t want a android spying phone. Good job Apple!
21:53 Pretty, pretty awesome this question😁
This interviewer is absolutely awful. I get the feeling that I don't know what she's really trying to get at or that she's a little naive or clueless.
@KerrieRedgate

"Every generation should advance human rights"
Regardless of my political view or yours. Its amazing to know we have a CEO as powerful as Tim Cook, thats willing to stand up for the rights of its users.
I love Apple's products and view on privacy/security etc, but they're so damn EXPENSIVE!

Considering the circumstances, Tim Cook does a good job as Apples CEO
2:31 - It is addictive *by design*. That interviewer is really unprepared for this.
Tim is a great man
I wish there was peace on earth..(phones,companies,war,money...) ~ Apple Fan that wants peace between all humanity~ Also great talk tim

Apple is so great and amazing because they know how to satisfy and they know how to help their customers with their product. but now apple is not as it used to be, let us say “the game changer” but still Apple is the best company by making their product
ask tim why he gave info on the kickass torrent owner 's details to the police
She is so confusing every time when Tim answering.
Is it me or was she asking questions in a way that makes her seem passively aggressive? Also, why was she asking some personal questions making Cook feel slightly uncomfortable?
I just want to work with Apple programms but somehow that is just still a dream. APPLE is great with their devices, keep going strong. Ciao.
tim cook looks like steve jobs from behind
Been talking about an app or something that should do this. Limiting the use will make these tools(phones) super effective. But today it's just an addiction.
It reminds me of Humans holding powers like Harry Potter's Wands but of no control over how to use it. We have been using our powers unwantedly too much. Imagine we have a Magical Wand and just using it like a Madman. We should know to limit and use it when needed right. I am starting to understand the purpose and power of the phones.

well the thinking about screen time was copying android P.
Thank
I respect Tim Cook because he want the betterment of humanity then money. He is a true symbol of a CEO because he wants to give good products and not addiction. He wants the betterment of people that have Apple products and protects people lifes.
This video is less about Apple's business / products than community, ethics, privacy, politics
I was surprised that Apple did put on privacy. Like why would they care? It's a company just like other big companies. It's not going to make them more money than not putting privacy. I'm surprised hopefully they continue and not bogged down by other companies.
People who bake cakes can have rights too! 🎂
This kind sounds like action jack barker from silicon valley
Every person didn't have privacy in this era,we try to buy a technology without privacy problem,a tidy system
Yes, apple was always like that!
Great.. Tim cook The man who highly deserve Apple after Steve jobs
Tim "we are going to ban wrongthink" Cook
He's pressing, I wouldn't want to play her on MVCI with auto combos on
Would ask him why VPNs are removed from AppStore in countries where human rights are not quite respected - also why are they an Irish company still in regards of taxes etc. / it appears that all they do is feeding AAPL or isn’t it?
