You guys give me hope in growing my apothecary. So jealous of all your jars and labeling. It is amazing from when you first started it to what it has grown into. You are a blessing to us all . God is so good.

*GINKGO* is not Native to Canada or USA...it is an Immigrant Tree , Originally from China. The Ginkgo was , first introduced in America in 1764. (258 yrs ago) and has flourished . I know an elderly Asian herbalist , who made a soup broth , using GINKGO. He was in his late 80's and his mind was sharp as a samurai sword.

What a blessing to have beautiful ginko trees growing in your region! I haven’t tried ginko for many years, but now that I am older I am going to try it again, thank you for the reminder. I live in northern Alberta, Canada, and it is already so dark by 5 pm, and I find myself affected by the lack of daylight more as I get older. I’ve had success with lion’s mane mushrooms for brain fog, but I am going to try ginko as well. God bless!
🤩OooooAhhh 💖 We have Ginkgo growing in our area ✨ Chinese settled here with the introduction of the railroads... I’ll bet Ginkgo came here along with them... 🤔 now where can I squeeze a Gingko tree in my already stuffed yard... 😂 Love seeing your growing library 📚

Lol yesss!!! Plant them 💛
Years ago my VA aunt had a Ginkgo Biloba tree growing in her yard (Tidewater). She was growing it because she appeared to have the beginning stages of dementia...to my knowledge she never used it as tea or any any type of medication...sad because it might have helped her. It was a beautiful tree and the leaves were so interesting.
Washington State has a petrified ginkgo forest. I hadn't thought to grow one because I have such a small yard. It seems like they are really hardy and used to grow here. I will pursue this more.

My son- in love and I have a couple in large pots in the Willamette Valley - fossilized Ginkgo (and dawn redwood!) Gabe been found over on the John Day fossil beds
We have several older Ginko trees in our neighborhood here in North Georgia! They are glorious every Fall!!
Thank you for giving Ginkgo the love it deserves. When I was a kid we had a property here in Argentina with a 100 years old ginkgo in it, it was the best thing of the property, so majestic and beautifull. I was 7, and at my 40s I still remember it. Sadly the people who bought the house took it down, but made me love that ancient tree. I read that one of the reasons why it{s called "The tree of life", it´s because when Horoshima bombing happened, the only few trees that survived were Ginkgos.
Yes I hear ya about the time change😴 it always wipes me out for a week. Love what yer sharing 🙏🙌
This is good to know. I will soon be taking my parents in & caring for them. My father is struggling with dementia 😢. I will have to do research on this herb. Thank you for always sharing.

My Mom broke her leg and was given lots of drugs and then followed the “Virus” so her mind was not good. I gave her ginkgo three times a day (tincture) and her brain fog started to clear. It is essential for her and she is still using it. Nothing helps as much and we have tried a lot of others as well. I do understand it is a bit of a blood thinner so we keep that in mind.

I love ginkgo trees! When I lived in San Jose CA. There was a street near my home that had ginkgo on both sides for a couple of blocks. When the leaves were falling, I loved driving down that street. It was like being in a boat that created beautiful gold waves. I would love to be able to take ginkgo for the memory aspects, but I am one of those people who are naturally free-bleeding and tend to bruise whenever I even rub up against something.

@@TheHoneystead I have a HUGE rosemary plant, over 5x5, which I use all the time, both for cooking and just for smelling because it's so fragrant. And I'm dying to try lion's mane. I have a friend that forages and she just posted that she gathered a ton!
I was studying in China for a few month (supposedly a year but covid strikes) and have the opportunity to witness the majestic gingko tree turning yellow and shedding. Although it can be quite an annoyance when there is strong wind and the campus is literally packed with the tree everywhere, on every roadsides within the campus growing for what seems to be only somewhere like 30cm apart from each other.

Thank you beautiful souls for sharing your journey and wisdom 🦚🐝🐞🌻
thanks for the information on the GINKGO tree; have a great day
We used to have gingko trees at my work. I loved it in the fall when they changed. It made the whole parking lot glow with this gorgeous sunny glow!!
I have one in my yard and it is beautiful
We have ginko planted on our public square. How interesting !!!
Ginko is great, we have some in our local park and I always nosh on some leaves when the dog and cat would go on walks with me^^ Love the apothecary setup.
As I was watching this, I’m getting ready to head out to the few ginkgo trees I discovered near my home. Spent a lot of the last 4 years dealing with memory issues from a procedure on a brain tumor (I wish I never had done). Supplements are too pricy and I’ve been moving towards building my own apothecary. Didn’t get a gingko tree in my yard this year like I wanted but foraging will hopefully hold me over until I get one next spring. Thank you both for sharing!

I absolutely love you ladies. Never a dull moment 😂. I love how your not afraid to show real life mishaps while your working on anything. I've learned a lot in the past two weeks while I wait for my next payday so I can get set up with my own apothecary homesteading herbalist journey 😊. Also watching you tend to bee's has given me a new found respect for bee's. I just can't have them here where I'm staying Because my roommate's husband is severely allergic to bee's. One sting could kill him in less than 30 minutes. So when I'm blessed with my own property I'm definitely going to have to attend a bee's school or whatever it's called because I want to be completely self sastainable. I think I spelled that wrong but I think you know what I'm trying to say hahaha 😂🤣. Till next time I'll be watching your KZread channel for more homesteading herbalist ideas 😊

😂 it was the “Y’all” for me! I know that feeling oh so well! Thank you for making these videos! Is there anywhere that we can buy some of your teas? I’m slowly starting my journey in herbs but ginkgo is out of my reach right now
They have them in Toronto the City plants them!
I think kinko mixed with some lion's mane mushroom as well as Maringa With hickory and bermont would make a great coffee Substitute Containing natural brain Stimulants.
Hi! Thank y’all so much for your videos, I absolutely love them! I want to learn about herbalism, making herbal medicine, and knowing what all the different herbs are good for. Im just starting out, and the only book I have is Rosemary Gladstar’s Medicinal Herbs A Beginners Guide, but I would love to know what book you both think would be the best for me to start with? Please and thank you!
Well i guess we missed this year for making this one the leaves are falling on my ginkgo tree lol i was just trying to figure how to spell it.
Mitochondria support... I have recently been able to explain to myself that mitochondria is the human equivalent of chlorophyll in plants 💚...energy production within our cells...❤
The creator made all of these awesome plants to help heal our bodies!:) how can you deny the living creator of All things
Thank you, this is so interesting. Is it dry leaves you use for the tincture? I bought some gingko seeds a year ago, and am going to plant them this fall. I live in the middle of Sweden so there's snow and could be frost until mid-late May.
Never heard of that tree. Guess I'll have to research it. I'm in the north west. Southern Idaho
Make sure to put the capsule maker info on your list.
Show how to mix the stuff in your tea.
I have a tree in my yard and I dug up a seedling and potted it in the early spring. It grew 4' over spring and summer. It's sweet little, bright yellow leaves just fell off and the big tree still has a plenty. Do you harvest the leaves when they are yellow or when they still have green on them? I really want to harvest some before it's too late, if it isn't already. Really guess I will need to research what to do with the harvest. I have only made a golden rod tincture so far, but really want to do more. Excited about your website and I really need a good starter book.

Hello 👋 Beautiful lady 🌹, how are you doing today and your weather condition like?
I saw a show once about supplements & Ginkgo was the worst "fake" supplement! I believe 9 out of 10 that they tested had none to very little Ginkgo in them. :(
When is the best time to harvest Gingko leaves for tea ect?
Can you use Ginko to treat grand mal seizures?

when you harvest the leaves? when they are green or when they are yellow? Which is best for making a tincture with? Or to make tea with..
I would like to buy a tea from you to help me with clarity if you have one.
Did you talk about the Honey and Ginger? Did I miss it? Thank you
Thanks!! How long should the tincture sit.?
10:54 ...I 've got to find me a Mason Jar set, that has a pouring lip on it....I am always spilling my remedies, with the standard mason jars.. LOL 😂👍 11:29 ...have you ever tried to use a Stainless steel FRENCH PRESS for your *Squeezy* ?? it works really good also.... 12:46 ... *AMBER COLORED BOTTLES* ... can't get these, easily with the high prices.... unless you got amber colored beer bottles. lol my great grandma and grandmother, use to take old glass jars, and put a Sock Sleeve over them to keep the sunlight out..lol Her labels were a tag attached to a cotton string for identification of the herbal remedy... These Sock sleeves, she told me, were also good for preventing the glasses from chipping ,cracking or breaking when the ground would shake ..lol 15:16 *GIN K GO* not GIN G KO 😁🙃😜 *GINKGO* is not Native to Canada or USA...it is an Immigrant Tree , Originally from China. When do you pick the leaves for tincture? In the life of a leaf? Many thanks
I would love a list of all your book collection in intro. Dm me a copy please! 😊
What variety of Ginkgo tree do you recommend? There are many varieties
1. How long do you let it infuse? 2. Do you have to shake, and burp it.

The female ginkgo trees are stinky! We use the male!
Where did you order your dried ginkgo ?from and how much and how often of the ginkgo do you take?
Types of mushrooms are good for fixing and maintaining the brain 👍🏼🤠 not all are magic mushrooms either
Do you use the Ginkgo leaves when they are green or have turned yellow for the tincture?
What are the options if your body does not tolerate alcohol?
What do you do when every tea you drink makes you sick?
Do you make any tinctures with glycerin instead of alcohol?
Would green glass bottles work the same as amber colored?
Where do you get your ginko leaves?
❤
I have a Ginkgo tree in my backyard. Wondering how you dry them out. Laying each leaf in one layer sounds daunting and I don't think I have the space to dry them that way. What am I missing?
If tinctures need to be storages in amber bottles, why are dried herbs stored in clear bottles?
I found a place that carries the male ginkgo because it doesn't grow fruit which leaves a sticky mess (according to them) but does the male tree have all the medicinal properties? Does the fruit have any? Should I get both and if so where do I find the female tree?
can U make a video about dosage -and how its done ? like if i have a tincture thats been made out of rum or brandy -how do i know what dosage to use? plus -a good topic is about alcohol -is expensive alcohol better than cheaper alcohol ? is glycerine really worth the hype for tincturing? can we use "vegan honey" for making tinctures ? how do we use tinctures in creams and balms?

@@TheHoneystead another question i have is this - when making your tinctures that your going to sell ,does it have to be a special alcohol percentage ? like 20 % - or 30 % - or can it be what ever the alcohol percentage was when you first began? because its kind of like selling alcohol in small bottles. i guess what im asking is .do you have to water down your tinctures to meet approval ? are ALL tinctures a certain percentage? another thing question is how do you sell your tinctures online ? is there any special laws you need to worry about ? is this a good business to get into ? will we see your tinctures at CVS ,or Walmart any time soon ?
