Susan and Denise were/are gorgeous. Very beautiful, beautiful skin, very natural looking with their beauty.

Brenda and Susan are two very lovely, classy ladies and both very respectful of Prince's legacy. Also being a huge Prince fan but also a huge Queen fan. I love that Brenda worked with Prince and Freddie Mercury. May both those geniuses RIP. The episodes with Brenda and Susan have been so far my favorite episodes of the Apollonia Studio 6 Podcast.

This is all I been waitin on. The best thing on her podcast next to Jill Jones.

Amazing! I feel that that Brenda’s story about the video treatment for Blue Limousine was pivotal. To have included the group as well on the Purple Rain tour as well. The ladies could have taken their spot on their lead vocals on their songs and without restrictions could have evolved cohesively and been an amazing extension of the Purple family in my humble opinion.. Thank you all for this epic moment. Soo worth the wait! Looking forward to the finale. 😃💜🔥

Could definitely sit for hours listening to these memories and understanding what went on behind the scenes of life! For each of you to have lived through this experience it really is mind blowing! The impact is obviously life changing! I’m sure in a way it feels like yesterday wondering the walls of the Galleria… love to all of you beautiful ladies thank you so much for sharing!!!

I don't know if Susan remembers this, but some time around 2009, I called her. I found her number on the internet. At the time, I was running an entertainment blog and I wanted to interview her. Well... it didn't go as planned. 😂 When Susan answered, I said, "Hello, may I speak to Susan Moonsie?" Susan replied, "This is Susan. Who is this?" I stated my named and informed her that I wanted to interview her. Susan shot back, "Prince?! I know it's you!" Then, she abruptly hung up! A few days later, when I got the courage to call her back, the number was changed. 😂

@@rick188888 apparently, Susan isn't the only person who thinks I sound like Prince. Someone, I believe it was Tyka, contacted me regarding my rendition of "Forever in my Life," that was posted on KZread. This person said, "Prince should hear this. At times, I can't tell if it's him singing or someone else." A few days later, I received a take-down notice from Prince's camp. Being censored by Prince was the proudest moment of my life! 😂

Another excellent interview. The Apollonia 6 album still doesn't get the credit it deserves in the canon of Prince material. It was also interesting how the mood dropped dramatically the moment Shelia E was mentioned. Loved both parts of this interview. Great to hear these women discuss their experiences.

@@ferniefernandoortiz1242 Prince refused to have anything to do with Sheila E after she allegedly lied about him in her book. Then when he died, she was accused of "cashing in" on his passing. The result of this has been almost all of Prince's former colleagues and friends (except Mayte Garcia), bad mouthing Sheila and wanting nothing to do with her. There's also the issue of her telling all who will listen that she co-wrote iconic songs of Prince's.

I need Vanity 6 second album to be released! Demos... whatever. And A6 would be nice to buy/download also!

I LOVED so much hearing how mature you all were and so down to earth even back then! All 3 of you are such classy, humble and kind women. Somebody needed to do to Prince what Brenda did to Vanity--just haul off and smack him a good one to knock some sense back into him. But no sooner do I get that feeling than I see the page of notes about Nicarthra Ann, and I remember that he wanted the female lead in Graffiti to be Ruthie Ann, and it's all very psychological about him wanting the same type of woman.

I would love to know who some of the other candidates were to replace Vanity!! I wonder if anyone knows if Apollonia 6 ever sang Nasty Girl? I have Vanity singing the demo for Sex Shooter, but I wonder if Apollonia 6 sang Nasty Girl in their live show? Oh man! I would love to hear the completed LP with Vanity!!! I LOVE 17 Days! Dang it was over too soon...I could have watched and listend and learned for another hour!!! I love all the photos you showed! So Many I have never seen!

🌂..And to add to the enjoyment of hearing about the great magic of this project and all of the people involved 👌..And, I have also,Always enjoyed seeing Apollonia in her perfect makeup and lighting, Was always, always strikingly noticeable, And of course sexy! I hope,(All of you) realize just how special these moments were, And always will be!....

My favourite Apollonia 6 remains Blue Limousine. Absolute brilliance!!!!!!!!! ... AND ... Ooo She She Wa Wa which I soooooooooooooo DIE 4444 ... Such a pity that Prince said no to a video for Blue Limousine (NOOOOOOOO!) ... Prince, arghhhh.... WHY?! ... I saw parts of these 5 tracks in a mini movie with some of the tracks from the album on You Tube. I wonder if they will be released in the near future, get out those archives!!!!!!!!!! It's so annoying that Prince didn't want a video to Blue Limousine, no release of the 5 tracks in this mini video he didn't like, no Apollonia 6 on the Purple Rain tour. He had this pattern of doing this with his artists which is so frustrating for not only the artists but us, the fans! ... The biggest pattern of doing that was with The Revolution (bad, bad mistake) ... As for Spandau Ballet - They actually started of as Blitz kids with Kilts, Slippers and Avant Garde specially made pieces that were underground. They didn't wear the suits till their third album True.

Apollonia, after the monkey injury and the lip injury, I thought, "oh, no. There's getting to be a theme here. Bad things happen in threes." So when you all were fine after the explosion in Paris, I thought, "okay, that was three. No one needed stitches. We're good." Thank you SO much for these podcasts. Seth, you ask such good questions! Would you believe I've never seen Purple Rain? But I've loved everyone in Prince's Court since 1982. :: hugs for all of you ::

Apples, you forgot Spot??! That "little kid" who stood in for Prince during lighting set ups was Pat Epstein, aka Spot. He was the First Avenue videographer/VJ. Do you remember the First Avenue doorman who checked everyone in at the front door every morning during filming? You know, the one who later became a bodyguard on the Purple Rain tour?

There are so many things I would love to say.... but I will keep it to 3: 1) Thank you for sharing these stories!! And still respecting Prince's privacy. Example, Prince and Denise arguing (what couple doesn't argue) yet keeping the details private, some of which I am sure you all knew! 2) Detroit 💜s Prince!! I remember staying up late listening to The Electrifying Mojo, when Prince was here for his birthday (at the time they were still referred to as such)!! I was devastated when years later I lost my cassette recording of the interview. I also had the call the next day with a special message: "Evol Si Dog." Then...[paraphrased]For those of you who don't know..[can't recall], for those of you who do, we love you even more" One of the women left the message...I can't remember who though!!! 3) Something about hearing that Freddie liked/loved Prince's music just makes my heart so happy. Two extraordinary artist, with incredible work ethics...both taken way too soon😢

And one more thing lol, would you guys ever consider doing one more song together or a re-record of your Apollonia 6 album?? Would love to hear the songs again with new vocals and how your voices have changed! I think it would be a HIT!!!

I'm NOT a fan of Alex Hahn book " Possessed: the rise and fall of Prince" because he's a BAD smokescreen and he made the accusations that Vanity had an affair with Albert Magnolia during the filming of Purple Rain & others towards Prince referring to what happened 20 YEARS before he passed away. I put that book down and had to return it back to the library because it was just full of NEGATIVITY and slander. I even sent Alex Hahn a message on Facebook asking him why did he make that accusation towards Prince when he wasnt even there when it happened and he NEVER responded back and just completely ignored my message and that's how I know that he published a lot of bullshit about our beloved Prince in that book.

Waited 2 months 4 this 2nd part of their interview...THANK U!! Now, here's my BIG question: will we live 2 see the Dawn, when u FINALLY sit down and talk with both Wendy & Lisa? I saw the interview u both did with Susannah (which I absolutely LOVED)! But...can and will that interview with Wendy & Lisa EVER happen?

I would love to see those old VHS tapes.

All these stories will have to come out as a Netflix 10-plus episode series someday. Piece his story together album-by-album.

Sorry Brenda, Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, MI. seating capacity for concerts was 21,666. It closed in 2017 demolition began in 2019 and was completed in 2020. The Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N. C. and The United Center in Chicago, IL. have a maximum seating capacity of 23,500. Those 2 are the largest indoor arenas in the USA.

Wow! What revelations. Is the second Vanity 6 album in the vault? I would love to hear it. Are there any unreleased Apollonia 6 tracks? Love this show. I have enjoyed every episode and guest.
