Apollo Pro Problems and FatDaddy's response to them | Apollo Pro in a bucket | The bucket test |

First off this is not a video to put in a bad light neither the FatDaddy nor Apollo Scooters. This is a video about my experience with the situation that I experienced with my Apollo Pro.
I have 3 problems that are not covered, or so it seems, by the warranty that the manufacturer offers if the scooter is not bought from them. Because I bought my Apollo pro from the local reseller, here in Denmark, FatDaddy, they "handled" the complaint very "professionally" without any support in the end.
Because I haven't received the warranty information from FatDaddy in the electric scooter's box I kindly asked them for the warranty policy details for what the warranty covers and not. The response really amused me: "What is the reason why you need policy conditions?" .
In the end I wanted to make a video about this experience that I had so far. The scooter itself is still my favourite. It is still the scooter that I feel comfortable on, it is still the beast i desired. But there are those little things that also count in the overall impression of a product.
Anyway, let me know what you guys think about this situation.

I was looking at a Apollo scooter but realised it’s just another copy mantis. And after they recommended you clean and protect your wheels and DISCS with lube spray I have decided to look else where.

I have this scooter. I've ridden it 4 times and kept it indoors. It died. I have had zero help from Apollo customer service. They say I can ship it to new York and pay for all the expenses.. But they can't offer any other help. Frustrating to say the least. Invest your money elsewhere.

If you watch the "How to Clean an Electric Scooter" video on the official Apollo channel they suggest wiping the scooter down after every time it gets wet as there scooters are only IPX4 not IPX5. Apollo scooters are definitely not made for extreme wet conditions. Never hose their scooters down or with any similar amount of water and they will treat you well. Apollo states in the video "Exposing your scooter to excessive amounts of water can ruin your battery or electrical components."

What extreme wet conditions? 😅 I haven’t ridden it in the rain as i have obviously mentioned in the video. I can’t help climate nor the entire weather change. A product like this should be prepared for all types of situations. Your comment is a bit irrelevant as i have not exposed it to any of those conditions and moreover i was also talking about the fender that doesn’t protect the rider and also the brake wire that obviously doesn’t bother anyone else, I guess. 😅

@@scootteria8226 I think your argument is weak, because you get wet due to spray off of water from a rear fender you claim isn't made right or to a standard does mean it's wrong or able to be claimed as a warranty issue - a warranty issue would be if the fender broke while riding it at the agreed manner/law the company you purchased it from should have and should be able to supply you with

@@timpriestley8997 Doesn’t make any sense. It is like buying a car and when driving you end up with dirt on your eyes because the manufacturer considered to leave the windshield half of what it should have been. It’s a design flaw but you can consider whatever you want, I don’t like getting dirty but everyone is entitled to do whatever they want. 😉

I purchased mine straight from Apollo in Canada,, my experience with their 2 year warranty is the same as yours- basically no help- I end all my email correspondence is with them confirming the issues that I have concerns with are not safety issues, so for any reason that that my concerns turn into a catastrophic failure and causes me personal injury... then my lawyer will have plenty to start the case with - Just saying they like to dance around and make it sound like they're being helpful they're all full of shit.... It's kind of to bad because I have been eying the Ghost, However my stares keep going back to the Dualtron Spider 2 (I'm sure Dualtrons customer service is probably shit as well)

I really don't understand the Apollo company. All they gotta do is help. Is it that hard. Listen to the complaints and fix the problems. The world is like that too. I guess it's just laziness but they should not cry when no one buys and they shut down.

Looks like fatdaddy is a shaddy company, I think Apollo could have done more to help you like write to Fatdaddy to fix the isues. As for rust that is not a good thing, then again it is not recomended to ride in the rain, but as you say if it happens it happens :) yet I would check the weather report just to be sure there is no rain comming and stay away form water :) ... but I think it is a good video to expose minor things as I would notice them too and that would be anoying.

As for the 20 cons nr.1 I think since they are quite a new company they have not got that far to have an app nr.2 does it not eay ECo or Turbo when you press in one or the other button ? 3. hmmm did not think that was important but ok ...4. was not even aware that any other company offers iluminated buttons :) 5.-.11 nice fetures, but I mean the thing is too cheap to have all of that :D but on the other hand it would be nice to kinda have those options and customise what you need or dont need :) like I would not need cruise control... 12. and 13. we can forgive them as they are new so not many hear of them and im sure quality is going to improve Iv seen the new scooter for 2021 and it looks cool Apollo Phantom 14. isnt ther one ? 15. does it matter ? i mean it does what its supose to do :D why would this be a con ? 16. what about it ? is it not comfortable ? 17. yep that is not good :( 18. its ok, i mean it has a big battery so could be worse like a 50-60 kg scooter :). 19. saw the bucket test and yeah not good either. 20. I think for what you get its a good price :) otherwise you would not have bought it if it was shit price :)

Great comment, thank you Tomas. 😃 While it is true that the company is new and growing, there are some things that bug me no matter what. Even so, in all honesty, the Apollo Pro is still my favorite ride so far, after testing a lot of scooters. 👍🏼😅 But, in the end, my 20 cons may be considered for future development of their electric rides. Maybe not all of them are necessary bugging other people but most certainly some of them do. If we look at the Apollo Phantom they just released we can see the back mud guard has been redesigned and i am sure it is not all. 😀 It is a new growing industry and i guess in a couple of years we will have sat nav on the screen of our scooters where we can find charging stations on our commute. 😅😅 who knows? Till then stay safe! 👍🏼😀

Apollo does not reccommend riding in the rain. I think this would help. They advised you best on the wire, and the water test?? Didnt they reccommend against using in the rain because it can lead to malfunction and rust??????? I dont get it. They also advised you to upgrade your fender.

This is such a bad video. I can agree that the mudguard is bad, but you are whining about your own negligence for the rust. All your footages switching is also extremely unpleasant to watch.
