Apollo Pro electric scooter review: 2,000W and 38 mph!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Apollo Pro electric scooter (bit.ly/Apollo_Pro) has the power to thrill you, the speed to scare you, and the suspension to have you jumping curbs and riding trails all day.

This is the same as the Zero 10X, TurboWheel Lightning, Varla Eagle One. Same manufacturer (Unicool on Alibaba) that is sold under different names/companies. If the company orders 20 units they get to customize their logo, buying 100 units gets you personalized packaging which is what Zero, Turbo, Varla, Apollo, etc did. With that said. Apollo apparently used Lacroix's Stormcore ESC in their prototype so their performance might be better.

LOL I have an E Scooter and I love it. Take a look at the Materials that are used. And how they are Mined and Produced. Battery Disposal. The Atmosphere will always be polluted. Rockets in Space sure do put out alot of Chems. Gas, Diesel and Coal are still money makers and requirements. Nuclear is the Greatest Energy Source that's still being Used. Will never switch out our Military reactors. The Japanese want to also use Hydrogen to power cars. That's also highly explosive. Like Lion Batts.

To save everyone some time, this is literally a Zero 10X with blue swing arms and an LG battery. It gets about the same amount of QC as anything else sold by a company like Revrides, and there is nothing different or magical about it. Same thing, down to the kickstand. If you don't feel like paying extra money for a slightly nicer battery (which you can also get on a 10X from Revrides), then this is not for you. It's simply a 10X with some additional features that you can get from other companies, except they add them stock. Also, it's blue.

@@Ljavids2 Thanks for your comment and don't get us wrong, Zero is a fantastic brand! The way we differentiate is with cheaper prices, 2 year warranty, IP54 Water resistance to name a few. At the end of the day, you will have to choose between an Apollo and a Zero - the question will come down to which company can stand behind their product for longer and why, and the answer to that question will always be us as no other scooter brand offers 24 months of warranty :-). But again, Zero is a fantastic scooter too!

@@ApolloScooters I appreciate the measured response, and I'd like to reiterate that in no way am I saying that Apollo scooters are worse than similar competitors. I happen to like blue better than I like red. I just think it's important to note that these are basically the same thing, but you prepay for features on the Apollo that are optional extras on a Zero. This means Apollo scooters always cost more, and if you don't want these extras, you're better off going elsewhere. Warranty is a good point, but the consumer definitely pay for that as well. I'm coming at this from the perspective of a realistic, cost-conscious consumer, because I think there are a lot of people who would *want* the Apollo scooter to seem significantly different from its competitors. It's easier to make an informed choice when you realize that they're more or less the same, and it's about which company you prefer buying from.

Hey Micah, I notice you also reviewed the Turbowheel Lightning in the past, which seems to be nearly a clone of this one (which I know is a clone of others as well). However, between this one and the TW, do you have any comments/preferences/comparisons between the two? These are the two scooters I'm cross-shopping at the moment. Thanks!

John Smith there’s several “Clones” in this class, but only one carries a 24 month warranty, and that’s Apollo... which is why I purchased all of my scooters (3 so far... one being the Apollo Pro) from These guys... not to mention their impeccable customer service along with free shipping and no tax in the U.S. This to me is a no brainer⚡️🛴⚡️

  • @MrTenpoundpillow

@@boltenergy5745 I definitely agree they have the best warranty, and if the prices were closer (ore even the lowest, as they claim themselves for comparable products) it would be simpler choice (even though I prefer red). When the Lightning Plus is over $300 less for essentially the same thing (Pro 60v) that's really the only reason people may still compare/think about it. For some $300 for an extra year warranty is definitely worth it, for others, it may still be worth thinking about (taking color preference aside).

Really impressed by that SUSPENSION! 😳 I can see why the rider won’t be thrown over the handlebars when encountering speed bumps and potholes. If I were on the fence between an e-bike & e-scooter, this guy might win me over, if my objective is to just get around the city (and I assume there’s cargo-carrying capacity by mounting a low basket on the front, and/or attaching a trailer in the back), and I’m agnostic about whether I’m pedaling or standing the entire time. Someone who’s looking for an e-bike in the Rad Power Bikes price & ride range, but is open to an e-scooter, could be wooed by this one’s specs. 🛴 Since you can take this inside the store w/ you, it’s also less likely to get stolen, unless someone takes it right out of your hands.
