Great Improvements. However, I'm not too happy about the removal of the key lock. The combination of a key lock and a good quality lock would be the best deterrent against theft. Hopefully you guys bring it back in a future model.

That key is a joke, the wires are exposed on the rear of the ignition switch, the unit can be hotwired within a minute of cutting the cord.

  • @Fullblown671

@@jamalfadesemall9275 The average thief will not hotwire a scooter with a keylock that is also physically locked to a permanent fixture. That would buy them time. They would rather move on and find a easier target where they can just break your metal lock and ride the scooter away. A keylock or some other type of electronic lock whether it be an App, NFC reader or Fingerprint reader is great and would be an extra layer of security. But if having a keylock is a joke to you then the V2 is your scooter.

Living in NYC where thieves love to snatch & run like you said the average crook is not like MacGyver all they wanna do is cut & run so I'd love my chances in a foot race with a thief try to lift/run away with a 75lb dead power scooter than 35mph leaving you without absolutely no chance, am keeping my key-trottle for NYC for reason for dam sure..😅🤣

Apollo is the true "peoples E scooter company". Ur actions to make improvements and refinements for a better overall commuter and recreational fun riding scooter r second to none. If u continue to care about putting out high quality products and doing so in a manner in which u can keep the costs as low as u can will result in u being the "Apple" of E scooter companies. It's about a great all around scooter not hi speed this or monster torque that etc.... congrats

Much appreciated that you're constantly updating this beast but it really needs front turn signals for safety. I don't know about all of you but I've had some oh sh*t moments on this thing when I had to throw up some hand turn signals while going with the flow of traffic. Can you not swap out the front stem LED light with a new one that has front turn signals incorporated into it?

Good improvements Apollo, get the ip rating up to ip65, make the handlebar high mounted front light and indicators brighter and clearer plus add front indicator lights to the handlebars (something the rental companies have figured out is needed and a useful safety feature to appease concerns) and some deck lighting just to up visibility and your there! I agree with first comment about the key lock to be fair also.

The lack of front turn signals stopped me from buying a Phantom. I’d order a 60v Phantom today if it had front indicators. A scooter this fast needs to be driven on the roads and four way stops and moving with flow of traffic are made way harder without indicators. Hand signals work in daylight but, as you know, sometimes the sun is already setting in Canada at 5pm after work.

  • @modzmetropolis9558

Just because the scooter can go fast, doesn’t mean it needs to be constantly maxed out. People ride with different styles. You’re only allowed on the roads that are 50km/h and under in my city, but bike paths are okay. Thus, you don’t want to be flying down doing 70 km/h as you will be ticketed. Just my thoughts. Use your legs and extend them in the direction you want to turn. Cars can see that a lot easier than a small little turn signal on the very bottom of a scooter

I'd like to see a longer wheelbase version for better ride quality and safety/stability ... this is a scooter you ride from door to door, not something you put in the trunk of your car or carry onto a bus or train ... its too large/heavy for that (35kg), so making it a few inches longer is a non issue and will allow for a larger battery and greater range along with the comfort/stability/safety improvements. The fact that there is a kick plate at the rear is pretty much an admission that the deck is too short, but that isn't an ideal solution, though I'd still want the kickplate even with a longer wheelbase.

Love apollo’s attention to their craft. Keep the good work. I love the performance dual motor scooters from the ghost to the phantoms. Unfortunately I cannot buy one, i live with two flights of stairs. I already have a “first” scooter, upgrading to my “second” is in my plans. The explorer has everything i want except dual motors. Over bridges and up hills, single motor scooters suffer a 60% drop in speed. My current scooter drops from 22mph to 11mph going up a bridge and on a steep hill i sometimes have to walk my scooter. Thus dual is only way for my next ride, so i’ll wait. I’m tempted to get the 44ish lb dualtron spider but $2,500 is rarified air for a scooter and it would have to check every box plus more.

I just acquired a Phantom V2 52 volt with 18 miles on it. Basically brand new. Tires and pads have no wear at all. When I charged it to full charge, the voltage indicator does not go above 54.6 volts. I contacted Apollo technical support and was assured this is perfectly normal and well within range. However on Apollos own website it says a fully charged 52 volt Phantom will read 58.8 volts. Meaning that the 54.6 mine reads is appropriately 75 percent charged. Please help. I will be ordering the V3 upgrade kit in a week or so, but I need to be sure there is nothing wrong with the battery. Thank you

The smoother the ride the more surprised you're gona be when it's time to turn back around and head back. I was in this same dilemma between Vsett10+ 28AH battery or Apollo Phantom 21AH (or 23AH) between £1800-£2.200 I would like to go further than 25-30mile when out in the summer 50-60miles probably gona cost more something like the Nami Burn E2 Max but there's battery faults at the moment. Hello everybody, Here is my 1 month review on Apollo V2. Overall the build quality is very good, the ride is smooth and fast - it’s a great scooter. However, there is a super big BUT… First of all, I’m a doctor from Johns Hopkins University and I bought this scooter to commute in Baltimore to work (I had an Etwow S2 scooter for 5 years, which was great, however the battery was getting old and I wanted something faster). When the scooter arrived I was hesitant to keep it because it was fairly big - you definitely can’t hop on the Bus with it (for example if it starts raining) and it’s difficult to put it in the trunk - although possible (I have a normal sized sedan). The super big BUT with the scooter is the following ==> Flat TIRES!!!! When my scooter arrived I accidentally saw online that many people complained about flat tires! It is REAL GUYS and is super serious! I got my first flat tire only on my 3rd trip/day, which was super super annoying because I needed to go to work but when I came outside I realized that the back tire was flat. It was kinda pain the the but to fix it few days later. And yes, I was late to work and patients were waiting for me!!! Because the ride quality is actually really nice, I decided to give it another try and come up with something. My friend recommended me to buy Armor-Dilloz Filler, which I did. I also purchased a special rubberized band to prevent flats that installed between the tire and the tube! Few days ago I’m getting another flat guys when coming back from work (~5 miles from work to where I live) - I have to drag the scooter for a few miles and finally my wife was able to pick me up about 1 mile from home (some difficulty putting it in the trunk by the way as mentioned above). The question is, how in the world did I get a second flat tire 1 month with 2 “anti-flat modifications”. I’m riding on the bike lanes, don’t do anything crazy (no jumping, off road riding). I had my Etwow scooter for 5 years and never had any problem with it (ride was good, super portable, much cheaper, never flats). I’m very disappointed that I had to pay a little over $2000 for this scooter and I CAN’T RELY ON IT!!! Someone can literally die in the hospital if I get late. Another small things is those 2 caps at the charging port are really bad quality - one was disconnected out of the box (I’m talking about the plastic cord that should be attached to it was missing a tiny part) - now the second charging port plastic peace is disconnected. Those rubberized covers for the screws - 2 got lost already. I’m just dissapointed that I bought this as a means of commute, but you can’t trust it. I’d rather have hollow tires and it being heavier.

Be aware about the inner tubes for these. I got 2 rides on my new Phantom and got a flat in the rear tire. For the life of me couldn't figure out why. So I went to the Apollo web site to order new tubes and for 2 new tubes with shipping is over $50 dollars. This is a complete ripoff and the company needs to fix that. Shipping costs more than the tire and there's nothing special on the quality of the tubes. This tube thing is crazy and now that I know I would have never bought this thing. They need no flat wheels because if I'm out far from home and get a flat I'm screwed. Pushing a 75lb scooter many miles would suck!

I'm so grateful I didn't rush to buy it. I'll wait until the Spring 2022 for the V3. "logo just as important as safety features" 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

They sent out an upgrade kit to all V1 owners. Awesome service.

@Paul N Actually, the upgrades all improve the operation of the Phantom. The new display is much brighter and easier to see in the sun, the locking ring & deck plate improves the stem stability, the kickstand is now steel instead of aluminum and the new throttle eliminates the dead space which was an issue in V1. Apollo has gone out of its way to ensure owners get the best possible scooter and have listened to owner feedback. As a 1st time scooter owner, I couldn’t be more happy with my Phantom. The upgrades they’ve provided to V1 owners testify to their commitment to the product and their integrity as a company.

@Paul N I’m sorry to hear you had problems with your Phantom. My comments are just based on my experience and nothing more. Although I’m new to the scooter game, I’m having lots of fun riding mainly trails, so the scooter is ridden hard and I’ve had no issues at all and I’m just over 250km. I’ve put on the winter/off-road tires and even think about going out in the snow, but I hate the cold weather😫

@Paul N You’re right, it’s just wishful thinking on my part. Looks like I’ll wait until spring when all the snows gone and yes, I live in Manitoba, Canada.

Hi @Pierre Martel, we're sorry to hear about your experience. Looking through your correspondence, it does look like our agents tried to help you to the best of their abilities, but the full repair responsibility would be via the retailer from whom you purchased the scooter. We would be happy to work together with them to get your scooter fixed up if you're still interested :-)

This is my first scooter and probably the best toy I've had in my 38 years of life ; ) kzread.infoUgkxvyNuxpWiHTNypxG6nyqyf7ywc7Q16PDM The assembly was easy - Took me 10-12 mins to get it set up and enjoy a quick ride before putting it on the charger for the full charge.I love the push-off feature vs. some of the other scooters that start with direct acceleration. I believe this allows a bit more of a stable start with a jerk reaction. I also like the throttle/acceleration feature that its a slow increase in speed vs. what you would get in a motorcycle. I've taken advantage of the anti-theft system when taking the scooter out to the beach and city. I like the anti-theft system as well as the need to enter a code after you turn it on before you can operate. The powerful front lights are helpful for a night ride. You can see in the picture how powerful the light is as a reflection on the garage. I'm impressed with the lightweight and how easy it was for me to get it set up and going. I would highly recommend this for someone looking for a scooter.
