I just surpassed 1650 kms on my '23 Phantom I got in July. TLDR: ** I've had zero issues with this scooter so far **. It's been totally reliable, consistent. While the stem does creak no matter what I tighten, it's stable. I'm on my second set of stock tires & I installed hydraulic brakes about 200kms or so ago. I'm 190lbs & use regen brakes 100% of the time. I have the non-eco gears set to max (10) for throttle response and max (10) for regen braking force. While I don't take this scooter offroad per say, it gets lots of use on a gravel-covered dirt trail. Not too many bumps, but it's hit a few bad divits & manhole indents. I hardly ever use LUDO mode. Every week or so, I do some routine maintenance: -- I go around the scooter with a set of 'vanadium' strength allan key/wrenches & tighten all the bolts I can find - from the rear fender to the front fender, every bolt & screw. Especially the wheels and brake disc bolts. I bought a 12mm allan key so I can verify the main, ground-facing, stem bolt - hasn't loosened since new. -- I use my portable, battery powered air compressor to make sure the tires are corrected to 50psi. -- Every few hundred km's, i take an old toothbrush to the suspension springs to clean off any road grit, and I spray them again with fresh "white lithium" WD-40 to lubricate them. When adjusting the suspension (3/4" 'locknut' wrench), adjust them equally as possible. For setup, something I'd add is - get a pack of black plastic 'zip' ties (10") & use them to tuck in any cables where possible - so the cables don't come close to the tire, wheel, brake disc or suspension springs. Some of the cables are just sticking out too much & if you're on a trail, can get snagged on a branch for example. Be sure to leave enough slack so the cables aren't pinched or over-extended when turning the handlebars to their limits. Tighten the zip ties to secure the cables but don't pinch them - especially if you've upgraded to hydraulic brake lines. You can get cable management sleeves (like for computer peripherals...) to tuck in any messy looking wiring around the handlebars. Per my usual advice - remember these tires might be 10" x 3", but use 2.5" tubes.

@@sergiolandz6056 I've been on gravel, dirt, got caught in some heavy rain but it's never ridden in moderate or heavy rain as a rule. Stored indoors after every ride, cleaned, lubed, bolts tightened. I've now got 2100 kms on mine, I'm in Atlantic Canada so it'll be months before it's warm enough to use it again. It's actually been pretty reliable. I'm going to upgrade in the spring (either an Apollo Pro or a Nami Burn-E Max 2). I'd rather the Pro for many reasons, but I know the Nami is like 60% more expensive for a reason. I'd rather get a Canadian product where I can get parts easily, but Apollo don't even have tires available for the Pro on their site. I'm an Android guy, I don't like proprietary things. BTW: the 12mm allan key for the understem bolt - my 2023 Phantom has a bolt, but my brother's 2023 Phantom does not, it's just covered. Make sure your stem isn't the one that was recalled. If it has a bolt, it's not necessarily on the recall list, it's just the Phantom you get on pre-order is NOT the same as the one you get in regular distribution. There are sub-version numbers that I have no data on. Anyway, yep, the Phantom is a great scooter. Get a set of hydraulic brakes & a better headlight clipped on, and you're good to go! 2k kms without issues, wish I could say that about the '22 Ghost!

I received my '23 Phantom today & set it up. Much heavier feel as compared to the '22 Ghost. Handlebars feel really wide. I was nice going for a scoot with such silence! No squeaking brakes, no transmission noise, and the motors are far quieter than the Ghost's. One thing to note: To toggle the headlight in the '23 Phantom, you need to quick-press the power button twice, not once. Quick-pressing the power button once iterates to the next of the 3 modes (gears). There are also quite a few grammatical errors in the English version of the user manual - none that add risk or serious inconvenience, but should be proofread before mass-printed next time. Hope to see more variety in the accessories provided on the Apollo site.

Rec’d my Phantom today. Found the screws for the knuckle very tight/very hard to turn. I squirted some WD40 lubricant into the hole and it helped a bit.

agreed. I put mine together per this video, stood on the scooter, and the handlebars flopped over! It's not a bad design, but you'll want to be sure to tighten the metal part by revisiting each bolt, tightening them iteratively.

I have a concern on my new phantom scooter it only accelerate at the beginning but once you are already running it wont accelerate anymore 20 kmh is the maximum it get get on LUDO mode. It could hardly climb on a 10 degree slope. This is brand new just delivered less than a week.

Hi Calle, Our Phantom has an IP54 water resistance rating, which means that your product will be protected from light rain. However, we never recommend riding in heavy rain, snow, or through deep puddles. Please note that like most electronic manufacturers, our limited warranty does not cover any water damage. For more info on our limited warranty, please go to: apollo-help-center.gorgias.help/en-US/12-month-limited-warranty-policy-24659

@@ApolloScooters If we need to, or accidentally ride through a puddle or it just starts to rain heavily, is there a suggested section of the scooter to cover? Is it a matter of protecting the motors or the battery - which is priority? Assuming the battery, so nothing gets into the compartment below your feet?

bro the regen breaks is so good you barely use the breaks on the scooter, and what is wrong with a tube ? If you keep the psi where its needed before every ride you will be fine. Tubeless can be a nightmare if the slime you put in there dont fix the hole, at least with a tube its a quick change and off you go. I had a side puncture with a tubeless set up and let me tell ya, aint no slime in the world will patch that hole.

  • @ApolloScooters

Hi Dennymolv, Our 60V customers have long been our most loyal and passionate followers. Its exactly for this reason we actually kicked off the development of the V3 upgrade kit for the 52V and 60V in parallel. The process of developing the 52V upgrade kit was incredibly challenging, seeing as we're the only ones capable of offering re-gen braking in a high-performance scooter. Needless to say, the 60V runs even hotter, meaning even greater risk of overheating. For this reason, we are testing it for longer. There are currently a number of testers actively riding with a 60V Phantom Upgrade kit and we are monitoring their performance. At this time we are not able to commit to a release date, but the product is in the testing phase as we speak!

Do not purchase any off road tires. I made this mistake. They mailed me 1 tire...... After emailing support they said I had to wait for them to be back in stock..... After waiting 5 months. I get an email from their support. Saying great news! The off road tires are now in stock. Place your order again to receive the set of tires you already purchased. Scam alert they will steal your money. Apparently a set of tires equals 1 tire. Do not do business with a company that can not count to 2. You have been warned !
