Man, M2K and HBox are like my favorite Smashers... But it crushes me to see Armada and Android lose too ;_;

Not sure if you read these VGBootCamp, but I watched these videos on Twitch when they were out. Even though my comp couldn't render them fast for some reason. This WAS THE BEST 2'S EVER. This was fantastic all around and I was biting my nails up until this match. Fantastic! Great Apex this year.

Glad to give this its 500th like. This was one hell of a grand finals, and at the biggest doubles tournament ever to boot. There are so many rewatchable moments in the tenth and final game.

With two shieks, all I hear is "toot toot....toot....toot toot toot"

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. That Game 10 was the CLOSEST Game 10 I've ever seen. The Swedish Snipers ALMOST came back from Losers, but even in second place they still put up one heck of a fight. Amazing. That's the most on point I've EVER seen any Team.

Armada looked like he was about to cry. Which shows in his post-Singles interview.

Amazing sets. I feel more practice will shake the nerves for the brothers. The end was brutal but it was either chaotic luck or steel nerves (a little of both, imo). Congrats to M2K and Hbox!

this was the most mentally intense doubles set ive seen....the pp/mango vs armada/ m2k at sktar was viscerally fun, but this was mentally satisfying...

allln19 It's called "Share-stock". Basically if the other person has more than one stock left, they can give up one of their stocks so the other person could come back.

you can definitely tell UGS wanted that last game. In fact, it looks like they're both on the verge of tears after losing. Never seen armada so emotional after a loss.

It is a double elimination tournament. Armada's team made it Grand Finals through the loser's bracket meaning they would have to win 2 sets to take Grand Finals. The easiest way to look at it is that M2K/HBox had not lost a set yet, so when Armada/Android beat them in set one they knocked them into a loser's set and then next set wins.

***** Yeah, M2K and Hungrybox never lost a set up until that point, so if Armada and Android only had to take one set to win the whole tournament, that wouldn't be fair to M2K and Hungrybox since they never lost a set so that's why Armada and Android needed to win twice, since they lost a set, and were put into losers while M2K and Hungrybox were in winners and only needed to beat Armada and Android in one set of best to 5. That should help even more hopefully.

Man Armada and Android would've had it at the end if it weren't for those two SDs. Best team play I've seen.

Well... Im very happy for HBox, he played amazing but he didnt helped m2k like android did with Armada, i think Android and armada deserve to win 'cause they play much better as team. But anyway happy for Hbox and M2k.

Yeah the dude was sick. He even said on Facebook (if I recall correctly) that he was not feeling good at all, almost to the point of feeling like vomiting. Amazingly enough, he still got 1st place in doubles for both melee and smash 4 despite being so sick.

I have seen Randall affect these games way more often than he should, why don't they just ban stages with Randall elements to keep the game fair and predictable?

They were biased, sure, but it didn't prevent them from commentating both sides plenty. You gotta admit, a team of brothers (one of which isn't a seasoned tournament veteran like the people he was on stage with) taking two of the best Melee players to task is pretty cool. Their synergy was on point, as you could see whenever they had the opportunity to gang up on a single opponent. Shit, sometimes even when they were in the scramble they managed to do some pretty nice team combos.

Teams is entirely for fun anyway. Underdogs winning is fun. Nobody gives a shit if M2K and HB win 2v2. It would be really impressive if they went and got one of their scrub siblings/friends and then did a 2v2 THAT would be impressive. The fact that Armada and Android got so far was awesome.

What? I take issue with that statement. To me, teams is the best part of smash and is just as competitive as singles.

EU players taking second in singles and doubles already? Oh well, it's common sense that NA litterarly sucks at every video game there is, the only way they can win or present dominance is either: 1: Have a huge lead in terms of developed the competitive community is for the given game (meassured by time and interest, obviously). 2: None of the other regions (EU, korea, china) had a good year, or made flukes during a big event. The european community hasn't really started up as much as it has in NA yet. Armada and Leffen are just 2 people who do everything they can to get good at this game, if our community was as well developed as the one in NA, they would've been top spots in the world, whitout contest. The fact that those 2 can beat your top players when they're coming from this almost non-existant community (compared to yours) is pretty hillarious. NA stay mad, stay bad. Also, stop using scooters at wall-mart and you might actually drop a few pounds.
