My brooder bin was an extra long plastic bin I cut a hole in the lid and put chicken mesh on. Worked great 😁
you did an awesome job with the editing and an extra awesome job with coming up with the idea to move forward & start raising your very own chickens! Awesome! I'm pride of you in so many ways!!! 😊👍👌👏❤

They need to be fully feathered before they go outside!
Great job!
Great coop, i use corrugated clear plastic roof, so in the winter they can get alot of natural ligth, for the doors i went to habitat for humanity and bough old kitchen cabinet doors with hinges already 3$ each and 1 old window, so you can have 1 en the front 1 of the side for nesting (window so they get ligth and I can see if 1 is layng an egg) , to make it ligth i use 3 wicker baskets from trifth store with pine shavings i have 7 hens they only use 2 bakets, I also have a use baby monitor in there si i can hear at if something is harrasing them, or when they lay and egg, this was done after a cat from another house came and kill 1 of my banty hens while free ranging in my yard, he stoke for 2 weeks and learn our every move.

Thanks for the tips. There is a neighbor cat that always lays next to my coop. Seems harmless but I probably need to keep it away.

Does a person have to get permission rom the apartment manager to have chickens on their deck? I suppose that might vary different places, but what do you know about that?

Yes, it may be a good idea to get permission. I was renting from a private owner, who was ok with me having chickens.
Wow what a wonderful job I love it 😍😍😍. In your opinion is it possible to raise quail/chicken and have a part time job???

Thank you, I'm getting some eggs today and start from there, that way I have a little time to get the setup together for when they hatch I do have my husband to help me while I'll be at work so that's a little relief. Thank you for your opinion I'll keep you posted and wish me luck 🤞🙏🌍

Even if the landlord said it was ok.. I don't trust the neighbors. How sad is that?
Are your neighbors ok with the chickens? Wow neat video!

@@starblackandwhite I just went for it today and bought 4!!! I'm a single mom of 3 and everything is just so expensive so I went for it! We live in a single wide mobile home lol hopefully I can keep them clean with chicken diapers and regular cleaning of their "coop" because they will be indoor chickens. Fingers crossed, prayers prayed!
Pine wood chips and Cedar wood chips are not good for birds. They have natural chemicals in it that cause skin irritation and respiratory problems over time. Aspen is a safe and cheaper option. I thought this was a video about how to have chickens without land or a back yard. I thought you were going to show them inside. Good video though.

I did not know that. I may look into Aspen next time. Thank you!
