    I clicked this expecting a Julian Lage, Jazz Rendition of Wonderwall. I'm a little sad that doesn't exist now.

    I knew I was playing Wonderwall wrong all these years! So hyped, after years of begging, he's finally coming within travelling distance of where I live to get to see him perform! 🙌 The greatest living improvising player? It's just so staggering every time, from the simplest of melodies to the most outrageous lines and counterpoint. He speaks with such freedom I feel like a toddler learning my ABCs.

    that face that he makes at 3:04 is the purest euphoria that every musician feels when they're in the zone and hearing the sweet fruits of their labor, the hours of intense practice and honing of one's skills into the ability to create art out of nothing, it's as if he's breathing out the music with every excited exhale

    The hardest form of any guitar is the Pseudo-classical/jazz leads. I would probably say Eugenes trick bag or something like that... maybe Cliffs of dover, those have got to be some of the most difficult songs out there.

    can anyone explain to me how julian gets those harmonics by smacking his right hand into the fretboard? ive tried to replicate it but cant quite figure it out.

  • @SharpElevenMusic

    @SharpElevenMusic

    You need to "smack" 12 frets higher than your fretting hand, just as if you would play an artificial harmonic (if that makes sense)
