@@kathp6689 only serves to show that judges are often subjective, and often fail to spot real talent. Rachel Tucker was kicked out of the Nancy competition, and she went on to developing a stellar career. Kerry is world class.
Let me tell you something...Miss Ellis DID that

Sutton was absolutely phenomenal when I saw the show at the Barbican, won’t be the same without her but looking forward to seeing how Kerry gets on!
the leading lady of the west end continues to prove why she is QUEEN. Kerry literally ATE
Just saw the 2021 'Anything Goes' with Sutton Foster today here in the USA on PBS Great Performances. And it was Wonderful. Loved Every Minute. ❤️🤗
Woah! I was wondering who replaced Sutton, and they found someone so good! I love Kerry’s energy, I want to see a performance with her!
The first time through I was just bopping out to this amazing ensemble, and then the second time through I saw this poor older gentleman trying his best with this EXTREMELY difficult choreo. Hats off to him and the rest of this glorious ensemble for putting your best foot forward..literally. This number is no joke and to perform it at the UK's biggest night in the theatre is no small feat.

I saw the older chap trying is best ,I thought he might have been a last minute stand in ,than I thought the dance scene didn’t really need him , so I’m still a bit confused on they why put him there dancing 🤔,
Kerry Ellis ATE this performance. Absolutely brilliant!
I was a bit wary of seeing the new cast, as I was lucky enough to see Sutton as Reno Sweeney last summer! But I caved and bought a ticket for this year’s run and I’m really looking forward to it!
She really pulls it out! So energetic! She’s amazing!
That last note jump. Such good ear candy.
Saw this in Manchester this week - Kerry is absolutely fab in it - but then so are most of the cast - fantastic production!
Somehow I ran into the Foster performance I guess doing famous Tony performances on KZread . Now it’s one of the go to sequences I have to watch every now and then. . This performance does it Justice as well . Also caught the PBS showing of the play yesterday .
Love all the shows! The performance, the music, the dancing reminds of school days 45 years ago 🕺
Sutton Foster’s remains unmatched. Sutton is simply a beast. I still enjoyed Kerry Ellis.
COME THROUGH, KERRY!!
The greatest song ever made!, and performed on stage in dance!
From Rock Star to Green Girl to Nightclub Tapper!!! Rock on Kerry!!!
Saw it in 2021 and again OPENING NIGHT in London June 2022 🤩🙂😍
Fabulous! Greetings from Cole's hometown, Peru, Indiana!
I have had 2 Q&As with Kerry Ellis and had some choreo taught to me by the dance captain of anything goes; Gabby Cocca. It is truly unique.

Such a talented cast! I've promised myself to go to London and see them live one day.
I saw this production at the Barbican and this number was incredible.
Loved it.
I watched it today at the Barbican. They got a standing-O
I just love this
Wow her voice, im in love❤️
F----ing timeless.
The energyyyyy! Loved it!!
Still a great number! Good luck to the new cast!
YAAASSSSSS
Just like “Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom!” Bravo, gang!
Fantastic!
Would have been better if camera didn’t keep doing distance shits making it hard to see them

I LOVE THIS❤️
My god that poor camerawork was so disrespectful to the number.
Kerry will always be Elphaba to me 😊
Looks like Kathryn Ellis reborn x great job Kerry x
To be able to sing after that much tapping demonstrates excellent physical conditioning!! Well done!
Best performance of this is by Cate Capshaw in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom...
Kerry Ellis wasn't bad however, Sutton Foster will also be the Reno to my Sweeney. ❤
Not a patch on the last year one. I hope they have replaced Gary Wimot and Felicity Kendal who did let last years one down but on this showing I am not bothering to go. I'm sticking with my dvd of last year where the tap was that bit crisper. Ex dance teacher myself and there have been simplification efforts here that didn't work. I learned last year's routine off the video and its complexity is what makes it so worthwhile
Is it a tradition to play anything goes at the tonys every single year.
Es muy difícil superar a Sutton Foster y en general a los Americanos en su reino, el Tap y el teatro musical, pero es una buena versión. Reeno es demasiado efusiva para mi gusto, pierde elegancia.

She went to Laine Theatre Arts, so I’d hope so!
The lead is good but she really pales as a dancer next to Sutton.
Not bad but Ethel Merman’s version is still the best performance of the song 👌
Sutton was significantly better as well as the ensemble! Lacking any diversity, but not surprising its the UK!

Is it a new cast or the same from cast from the run they did with Sutton?
@AesherYT
2 жыл бұрын
There weren't many cast changes between that run and this one. Reno, Moonface, Elisha Whitney, Evangeline Harcourt, the captain, and the Purser were different. Other than them, I don't think anyone changed
Nope. No one will ever top Sutton on this one...NO One!

And diversity??? Black people, latin people, chinese people? :v :v :v

Excuse me, last years cast (2021) had Gary Wilmot - black actor, I think some of the sailors were diverse too. Plus in this casting (2022) there is a mix of different ethnicities and diversities in the sailors more compared to the year before. And some of the angels too. But also we can’t have black and diverse casts in every single film or show. Yes I agree we need a mix but not to the point it goes the other way. Balanced. Plus also to be diverse not all the cast have to be black, eg disabled people that don’t necessarily look disabled and even people from different countries or origin, but which may not necessarily look like they are from different countries due to costume, makeup and the way they naturally look.
