Anvil Steam Condenser - Gear Review

Anvil sent me this product to hear my thoughts, and I enjoyed my experience so wanted to share it here!
Brewing inside with an electric system has been a big improvement to my brew day, especially living in a climate where brewing outside for much of the year is not feasible. Unfortunately, with brewing inside comes the smell of brewing inside!
Short of installing a hood or ventilation, a steam condenser is a great way to cut down on the smell (and steam) that comes with brewing indoors.
Find the Steam Condenser here!

Quick Info on Compatible Kettles:
If you have a tri-clamp port on the side of your system, you will just need to purchase the Steam Condenser.
If you don't have a tri-clamp port on the side of your system (like with the Foundry™), you will need the following accessories to ensure the proper operation: Lid Tube Kit and 1.5" Tri-Clamp Lid Adapter
Generally saw 0.75 - 0.1 gal boil off during 1 hour boil at 75% power on my Anvil Foundry 6.5 Gallon

It fits the 10.5 and the 6.5 gallon versions! Plus pretty much any electric kettle with a lid you can put a 1.5” hole in. And of course any one with a tri clamp port on the side!

Bruv. What fermenter do you use especially for lagers?

I have a 7 gallon SS Brewtech Bucket, modified with their FTS package, and glycol chiller. I usually brew 3.5 gallon batches, so I needed the extenders for the chiller as well. However recently for lagers, I have been using a 5 gallon torpedo keg as a fermenter, with a modified (cut off) dip tube, and a ball lock spunding valve! I think I get good results from either, but fermenting at room temp under pressure in the keg is certainly the more cost friendly approach.
