I hate seeing people compare this game to Pizza Tower. If you've actually PLAYED BOTH THIS AND PIZZA TOWER, which I have, you would know these games go in completely different directions despite them both being heavily influenced by Wario Land

completely correct by the way. I've also 101% pizza tower as peppino and noise! This is completely different. Having actual health in the levels is one thing that should tip you off.

I still wish we had some form of air-dash to get back to the ground without initiating a hammer bounce. It breaks my flow but I figure I'm still not used to this games controls.

@@voidtalongaming4637 You mean kind of like the b-button bomb dive but without the pause on ground? Well it's not a dash, but you can cancel the hammer jump by pressing X again in mid-air. (When I only started playing I actually struggled for a minute because I kept doing it unintentionally.)

@@GeorgeNoiseless yea, something like that. I've wanted to like carry my boost or cut my jump short so often and either overshot/undershot so it's a bit of getting used to but I've seen people doing some kind of tornado-spin without using the power up pads.

I like how it's not just trying to be Wario Land stylistically but also blend that in with like Crash Bandicoot and it's influences like Tex Avery and Looney Tunes among also going for some David Feiss influence also. I mean Cow and Chicken is just written all over the devils ass and performance.

I just love how this was also inspired by Virtual Boy Wario Land, because it makes it more interesting when you are part of the background. It's not only Wario Land 4.

VB Wario is a forgotten gem.

I love how they changed the sounds for the scoreboard. Making the jackpot sound when the combo meter runs out is much nicer to listen to than *every* time you got points

god I love the stock jet plane sound effect as you fall from a ground-pound this game is going to be so good

The Boiler City blimp sequence nerf more doable remains a challenge if you're skilled and greedy which I absolutely dig.

Every time I think that the game can’t get more colorful or animated, Summitsphere ups the ante

Definitely can taste the Wario Land 4 inspiration with this one.

There’s also Crash Bandicoot references, the Kickstarter demo used to have the crate SFX as a placeholder but then they changed it.

I know this game is based on Wario Land, but it seems to be really based on Wario's oft-forgotten Virtual Boy title. The foreground to background transitions are a dead giveaway.

It looks like it's for the GBA and I love it.

The full-blown classic cartoon sound effects fill me with a special kind of joy.

i loved this demo! short and sweet but could have maybe came with a boss fight! i loved the attention to detail and inspiration from the game boy wario titles is very noticeable! cannot wait for the full game to release in november! it's actually close to my birthday

You should just buy a handheld console like a Steam Deck or an Ayn Loki. Indie devs shouldn't be expected to always jump through those hoops to end up on Switch. Games are better on PCs, and that tech is getting so refined, you can take it anywhere you go.

The poker blocks leave paint all over the place when they explode. That's cool for a platformer where you have to constantly go back from where you came.

I don’t think a lot of people realize this but Anton looks very similar to Forman Spike from Wreaking Crew, he has a full beard, wears a helmet, and has a giant hammer. I wouldn’t be surprised if the creators of this game based Anton off that character

I can tell I'm gonna need some maps or something if I wanna find all the things. Either way, definitely playing. I just prefer to play the full version.
