I seen on Pinterest someone took a wooden tool box like that and turned it upside down and mounted it to a wall. They decorated the top as a shelf and used the handle as a towel rack! It would be cute in a bathroom or kitchen!

Pumpkins and leaves for the fall would be so pretty in that brown toolbox

The old tool box would be cute with old tools put in it also...specially cute in a garage near tool boxes. Clean tools of course...not the dirty and greasy ones. Love the tour of all the different stores. You live in an awesome town!!!

My daughter has a tool box on her dining table. She puts plates & cups in it and it looks adorable. The plates will stand up..put larger ones on one side of handle and smaller ones leaning against large ones. Also stack cups, small pitcher, on one end…add candles, cloth napkins. Lots of possibilities,

Love the quilt! My Mom had the green mugs when I was a kid. I want to say they are from the 70’s. One idea for your vintage toolbox is to use it in the bathroom with towels rolled up in it. Maybe a beautiful packaged bar of soap and natural sponge.

What a cute little town just chock full of treasures!! So

They are cute with geraniums, garden gloves, antique garden towels, other seasonal stuff. You can use seed packets too.

Toolboxes can hold magazines as well as large books. You can put some cute garden gloves, seed packs and pots in them. I have seen fairy gardens in them too. The ideas are limitless!

Hi Miranda, for the tool box I think putting some yarn and knitting needles. In the winter with pine cones and greenery and also lavender. So many ideas to do with them.

Hmmm .... how to decorate an old tool caddy: what would I do??? I have old photos of my parents (and other, loved relatives that have passed along) - I could stand them up against the back ..... and maybe put (in front of the pictures) some tiny prayer books I have from them, and an old windup alarm clock ("the march of time").

It would be great with Terra cotta pots,little pumpkins in the fall,and at Christmas those tool boxes would be great with bottle brush trees,and a winter vinyet.Also,I am tea drinkerI I could see tea cups,and saucers too.Vintage tool boxes not just for your tools.lol

*Your rustic wooden toolbox would look great as a sewing box in your office, filled with old wooden automated loom spools, folding wooden yard sticks, a wooden darning egg, old scissors, with a couple of very old patterns for good measure. You could even add an old Mason or Kerr canning jar with a lid filled with buttons. I have an old toolbox that I filled with a variety of faux succulents and 3 faux blooming cacti with some tree bark and a few cut pieces of branches with lichens growing on them from the yard...everybody thinks 🤔 the plants are real, LOL. What I like best is that maintenance is only an occasional dusting. 😉*

Those old tool boxes are hard to find and when I do find one I have to pay a lot for it. I think everyone in my town is looking for one, one antique shop has a waiting list for them 😂. I like to use them in my greenhouse for small garden tools and gloves and one for seed packs. I’m still looking for more. ❤️

I used my tool box on my table. I would add candles, seasonal decor such as eggs, flowers for Easter, Red flowers for the Forth of July, pumpkins for fall, Christmas trees for Christmas. I hope this helps, lol. I will have to visit these places. Thank you for sharing!

I use mine for a decorative pice on an end table with greenery and flowers in it. The blue and white quilt is beautiful!! You found some really good things and great prices. Oh my gosh Miranda, as a teenager/high school, I lived in Lucas KY, at the Barren River Lake and went to Barren Co high school. right outside Glasgow. I have visited Horse Cave and Mammoth cave area. WOW! That's so awesome. Those shops were awesome! I love the toolbox, I sometimes gather all my flameless candles and put them in it, I've filled it with ornaments at Christmas, I've stood small dissert plates on end and stacked it full, that was awesome on a buffet.

Really enjoyed this video, I love everything you got but I think my favourite would have to be the quilt…so pretty 💙

Love the finds you found I remember my mom having the same cups but they was orange, I have used tool box to put wash cloth in put silverware in them to ,love the quilt.

loved your Horse Cave Tour! Looks like several cute shops have been added since I was last there. I am so glad to see that their downtown is thriving again and will be driving that way soon to check it out!! I remember my grandmother had a set of those green pyrex mugs that hung on a mug tree on her kitchen table, sweet memories!!

I live in Minnesota but Horse Cave is only 3.5 hrs from my daughter in Ohio and 4 hrs and 10 minutes from my son in Georgia. So I can stop by and see some shops when traveling from one to the other. Great finds, can’t wait to see more of your town and others around you.

I have that mushroom bowl you showed as well as the beige bowl with the blue design on it. The tiny kitchenette was so dear. Will you be doing a tour of any of the caves you spoke of? I went to a cave in Tennessee and was amazed when they turned the lights out. I didn't know there could a dark shade of black. It was a fascinating place. That was so kind of you to showcase the shop owners in your town. I always love shopping and spending my money in mom and pop shops when possible.

Hi Miranda Aspire me everytime I listen to you that Big Tool Box that you just bought that was painted white if you put a divider in the middle of it and then you can put some lavender from Walmart in one end and your special magazines that you look at like I have special magazines that I use for interior decorating and I get ideas from the books would look so cute in that and then tie some Raffia bow on it or either put Jude around the handle that would be so cool Miranda just saying you make an old lady small

I love it that you are telling us exactly where you are shopping! I live in Glasgow so it’s fun to know about these shops that I can easily travel to!

Large tool box, put large mason jars or large decorative jars filled with dried beans, Lentils, pasta etc. Use to house potted herbs for kitchen, for bathroom, fill with loofah, Jarred bath salts or bathbombs, body brush etc. Bedroom use for holding smaller purses, or scarves tied around handle, stand summer flip flops and flat saddles in. Christmas time put dollar spot flocked trees displayed in it with fairy lights.

I used to use my tool boxes with metal pails and put utensils in them and napkins, etc
