Antique Chair Makeover

Фильм және анимация

I transformed this $23 antique chair with a staple gun and hot glue gun. No sewing required!
I found the antique ticking stripe fabric at an antique store and talked about it in this video:

omg thank you for this video!! I have 2 hand-me-down chairs similar to yours that my sister gave me. She was going to throw them away! The seat fabric and foam have seen their last days and your tips in this video have saved me the cost of an upholsterer! I think I can tackle this with staples and a glue gun and I'm using faux ostrich leather on the seat and arms. Mayyyybe the back too, but the chenille patterned fabric is in mint condition. We'll see how brave I become for the backs lol. Great folding and cutting tips! Thank you!!

You make things look so effortless. I think if I attempt this, I will not use fabric with stripes or a repeated pattern. That way I will have a bit more room for error.

I'm used to seeing the stripes of the fabric running front to back and top to bottom on upholstery. Any reason you chose to run the stripes from side to side?

I love your house Lisa, wow $23.00. Unbelievable!! I love a great deal. I will never pay full price for anything. I want a farm so bad. I will have one 1 day. I love you too. Warms my heart. I need to declutter so bad and get rid of so many things that i paid alot of money for!! But i love the farm house style. I miss going to my Maw-Maw and Paw-Paws farm. Its no more. Many fond memories from days of younger years. And you are writing a book!! When did you get started with the farmhouse style? Is there a video i can see?
