I liked how you cleaned up the casting messes. I also appreciate you showing people how it works. I have one of these without the stand and I have used it. I believe I will work on it this winter.

Bad paint job and you didn’t have to destroy the old wooden handle. There were ways of getting that bolt out without destroying a vital piece of its historical past. That was a shame that you did that. Also, If the wooden handle seemed loose and sloppy from years of wear, you could have remedied that by just inserting an appropriate size sleeve to take up the slack. Always think things through several times before acting. With that being said, that is one cool machine. Thank you for sharing with us and for showing us how it worked.

did a good job on a machine i used in my childhood a lot...i use plain vegetable oil instead of motor oil to quench my metal parts...cheaper, easier to dispose of and works just the same

I really liked the restoration but I think there should've been more attention to detail on the paint job. For now it's an 7/10, with proper painting I'd go for a 10/10.

I wish someone could explain to me why anyone would paint anything that colour on purpose? So many manufacturers use it and so many of the restoration channels use it as well but it truly must be one of the most vile colours you can choose!

1. Paint work was awful. 2. Don't take 1 min to unbolt something. 3. Take a few seconds showing/inspecting each part. Easily this could of been a 15-20 minute video.
