I was there at Grizzly Hall to see Marduk and Incantation last night, and the minute I saw those "protesters" with their poorly drawn signs, masks, megaphones, and hypocritical hate rhetoric, I could not stop laughing. Fucking clown shoes, they didn't do a fucking thing and when things seemed to get out of hand, Austin PD and a few friends who happened to be concealed carriers wouldn't allow any stupidity to take place. I commend the venue and the promoters for not allowing these pseudo protesters stop this show, and because of these assholes protesting, it only generated more revenue for the venue, more merch to be bought from bands, and a united front within the Texas metal community, a truly diverse and strong crowd to witness all of this. You do not fuck with Texas metal! Thanks for making this video dude!!

1) Varg is actually not even a nazi, he is just promoting European values and culture. Being proud of our own ancestry is not nazism. He is politically incorrect, but at the same time he is right about the development of Europe we see nowadays. 2) If the Antifa is so damn sure that Marduk is nazis. All they had to do was to approach the band in a civil manner, they're probably cool enough guys to elaborate and set the facts straight. The media is known to fuck people over and people rely way too much of them as a source of truth. 3) These antifa wussies are nothing but angry cry babies. Marduk is not the first BM band having WW2 inspired lyrics and song names. And btw, Frontschwein (Front pig) was a less pretty way of describing someone who worked longterm for the nazi front. It's similar to Etappenschwein which was used to describe someone who worked for the front away from danger. Front pig is not exactly a sympathising term for a nazi soldier. In other words, the title of the album is not even nazi supportive.

So let's talk things straight. A lot of people call Morgan from Marduk as a Nazi sympathiser who is the band's leader and has participated in every album. Back in the day, Marduk's vocalist was Andreas Axelsson (Dread). Specifically on Fuck Me Jesus and Dark Endless. He was the guitar player of Edge Of Sanity. So Edge Of Sanity as you may know have a song called Black Tears. And this song was covered by Heaven Shall Burn (Metalcore band from Germany) who are a 100% left leaning band (according to the Metal Archives they have Anti-fascist lyrics). And as you said, antifa went deep into Incantation's history and label the whole band as a Nazi band even though Craig hasn't been in the band for 20 years. Do you really think that this band would have covered a song by a band whose guitarist sang in a supposed "Nazi sympathiser" band? I don't think so. Anti-fascists feel really strongly about these types of things so even if they didn't know that Dread sang for Marduk, someone may have pointed that out to them and they certainly would have done something about it. Personally I don't give 2 shits about any type of ideologies and I just listen to the goddamn music. I mean I like NSBM beacuse of the music and I can also enjoy old school classic hardcore punk beacuse of the fucking music. So, my advice: Stop being that fucking wimpy and just listen to a goddamn band if you enjoy their music without politics getting in your way.

Marduk has been around since the 90's. First released album was officially in '92. So you were on the mark there! 27 years since they formed.

Thing is,There ARE actual Pro NS Black Metal bands out there. Arghoslent,Grand Belial's Key [who I've seen], Blood Order Company etc. Protest them if you must. Only problem is,They ARE legit NS and fully willing to stand up for it. Seems to me Antifa is picking soft targets who WON'T fight back. That's not accidental,thats deliberate. [bit of a shift in genre] but in England in the early to mid 80's there was a thriving skinhead music scene headlined by Skrewdriver,No Remorse,Brutal Attack,Skullhead etc.[All open nationalists] and the AFA,Searchlight,Anti Nazi League [Orgs. who are basically the British equivalent to antifa] would routinely show up to protest AND routinely get tuned up for doing so! So.....my guess is antifa got tired of getting kicked to fuck by REAL NS and has now opted to bully up on bands who wont stand up for something that they don't actually believe in in the first place,or beating up 50 to 70 year old men who voted for Trump. That seems a lot easier,i guess.

Antifa people shouting over black metal artists in general, is beyond ridiculous. But, using the word Antifa to mock every human being that knows what fascism is and chooses to live as an antifascist, is also ridiculous.(not talking about the uploader here, but the world wide trend). I am an antifascist because unlike some people who were raised in countries that never had problems with fascists, i was raised up by two grandmas who saw their villages burned to the ground, plus numerous executions of innocent people by nazi's. Then both my parents lived 7 years under the sadistic military Greek Junta regime of the late 60's. The fascists were torturers and thugs. There is no room for debate here. Portuguese people went through the same shit, Argentinians too, other people faced the same shit while they were living under communist regimes. Our 80 year old neighbor was crippled by that regime. Every town in Greece had victims. No one can call all these crimes a leftist hoax. So i was raised leaning towards the left, but later on i read history of the Communist regimes so i soon left all that behind. I call myself an antifascist leaning to the left because i believe that socialism holds ideas inside that can work in our world. But that needs a lot of reading. Reading about socialism, not the thugs who used it as a weapon. So i would not take time to explain here to people who never read books, why socialistic ideas are not monsters. Unfortunately, every system must exterminate the other people in order to prevail. So only via fascist methods can a system, left or right, win. Thankfully the world has tons of people like me, people who refuse to place themselves inside already created camps, either left or right, so i don't feel an urgency to join any group. (i am not centrist either. They are simply boys who adore and worship anyone who has power inside the system). I listen to black metal since mid 90s, i hold my own ideas for myself and i express them calmly with people who are interested in learning my thoughts. If you are a NS dude who wants dialogue, fine. If you are a communist, fine again. But political discussion, remains discussion. And in my books, discussion means talking calmly and listening with respect. Never liked Marduk much, but i loved and still love Carpathian Forest who had a skeletonized wwII victim as a cover in one of their albums and Tiammat who started as Treblinka, and more than 50 other bands that are def not leftist. Some of them are 100% ultra right wing, or even nazi. And still, i never stopped enjoying the music and admiring the art. And no, black metal cannot turn me into a fascist. Hip hop cannot turn my child to a street gangsta thug. Only humans who are empty vessels could be transformed by listening to music. Peace.

I am a metalhead and I, for instance, like Disma's music very much. I also agree that bands are free to use WW II / Nazi theme's in their music. Let them do as they please. But, metalheads should stop shrugging their shoulders at metalheads and bands talking fascist/racist/nazi shit. We all know there are a lot of racist/nazi douchebags in metal. Hell, there is even a whole National Socialist subgenre in Balck Metal! Whining about the Anfifa stopping a Black Metal show is pathetic, until we seriously address Nazism in metal. Buying albums of well known metal-douchebags, such as Varg, stating 'you don't care and just love the music' is just pathetically convenient. Let Marduk deal with the antifa themselves and stop supporting nazism by buying albums of well-known nazifucks in metal. What is important is that some black metal bands who said that they aren't nazis and played in my city had tons of nazis fans. I really don't care about that, I go for the music. But those nazis always cause problems before the concerts to everyone who is not white. It usually isn't the band's problem if they are against this things, and I want them to play the concert, but nazis are sick and streets aren't safe those nights.
