    The 'numbers' room is meant to showcase the game's portal system. The cube near the = sign is meant to be the finished product (depending on where you look at it, you see a different number based on which portal you're looking into), and everything else is meant to show off how it was made.

    as soon as I saw it in my walkthrough, I immediately realized that it was made for a room with cubes, there are many different cubes, as far as I remember 9 cubes, this is one of the initial rooms that you get into very quickly, the clock is ticking there, they are all different from all sides and this room shows how it was done

    That thing at 17:30 .... You know how you make staircases with the red gun? When I played through the game, after I got the yellow gun, whenever I needed to go up like that, I just made a single cube, jumped on it, used the middle-mouse button to make it move straight up, and it takes you up like an elevator.

    Hey there! Antichamber is a hard game to explain. Essentially it is a first-person puzzle game that is mostly about exploring the world, despite it often making no sense to our puny human brains. As you progress further, the game becomes more about the puzzles with the guns you see in this video, but that doesn't make it any less mind-boggling. If you are into trippy experiences or puzzle games in general you will likely enjoy this game a great deal :D

    The whole game is a metaphor for life, if you pay attention to all the signs, which is one of the main reasons I really loved it. The "under construction" room is one such example. Not everything has a deeper meaning and doesn't mean the developer will add more content, it's just a room, like any other. The white room symbolizes, I believe, one's persistence through hardships and selflessness, that we shouldn't do things in life just because we'll get a reward at the end, that it's the act itself that counts, what we did.

    About the last room... Well, i think it's not intended solution if you read signs... "Falling down teaches us how to get up and try again." With every failed jump the pad become longer and longer until you're able to jump over. So just jump and fail, esc, enter again, repeat until you get it.

So you'l wonder what am I doing in this video, actually I'm just counting how many Dev rooms there are to trigger my mind to remember which one did I miss on my full guide i'm compiling right now.

    the funny thing is, I got ALL these rooms, and I got them all because of my excessive curiosity in any games, I can always just poke at the walls, sometimes for hours trying to jump on any obstacle to understand that the developer did not intend that I would get there, but I still got there, and a lot of other nonsense that my brain can invent, although I did not find all the cubes, although I really thought that they were giving something for them, but when I found out that they were not giving anything for them, I was very disappointed, and yes, that room is still being built and it is still impossible to enter it P.S. I also found the room of the Borealis ship in portal 2 by chance during my passage, I didn't even know that it was something secret, just because of my excessive curiosity

    20:44 there is a downtime, the trick is to move a little so the small cube disintegrates then as close to the end of that downtime as you dare you disintegrate the big cube and freeze, the little cube reappears and the big one is gone you then creep through before the big re-spawns.

    There is an easier way to get to the Laying the Foundation dev room. Make the pigeons destroy a few bricks, play a yellow/red block in place of any destroyed white block, and move the placed brick out, so the path goes through any of the neighboring white blocks. The white blocks begin moving as if they were yellow/red.

    Hey OP that first one I was able to get some matter cubes into the box then trail them through the wall, bringing a significant amount of the white cubes with the red ones to bring enough of the wall down to get in. It takes a little bit of fiddling about but you CAN get those white cubes to trail along with the red/yellow!

    2 Things. On the 5th room, instead of needing to go up the shaft to get the blocks, I found that if you nudge along the wall before you catapult across the room, then attempt to jump past the catapult, you will hit the opposite wall and fall down. (Just make sure you are jumping from the right side). And on the last room, where you need the green and blue door to open at once, the trick is the time it takes the blocks to respawn. Have 1 side disappear first, then work on the other at your pace

    It's not a challenging game, it's just tricky to find out all of the game mechanics and how they actually work (like looking at the circle boat window thingy and walking backwards) which means you need to experiment basically -- tryout stuff and see how they are behaving. The game by itself -- chambers and problems you find along the way aren't hard at all. It's kinda game that keeps leaning and pushing you to const. "think outside of the box" and for only that reason it makes you feel it's difficult or tricky. That's what he meant by it (I think). :)

  • @mescellaneous

    @mescellaneous

    you can deduce what challenging means based on your own statement. even when you figured it out, if it's hard to execute still, then it's challenging. that's the difference.

    I know I am super late but for anyone new, for the first room, if you come in with yellow/red gun, you can place a cube and move with middle mouse the cube over and some of the white will come with, this makes it more consistently possible and easier

  • @Senen33
    @Senen3311 жыл бұрын

    And for the blue cube/green cube, there's also an easy solution. Get near the door, move slowly (fast enough so that the green cube breaks), wait two seconds and move quickly. The green cube will regenerate while the blue cube will break. And for the last puzzle. Just go into the laser, wait a tiny bit and run forward. The door will keep moving forward before the gravity makes it fall down. You have to move when it's more or less half way up

    I couldn't find anything more in the red/blue room around 18:40, so I figured it was a dead end, but I never made the connection "circle on the wall = walk backwards". As far as I could tell, this rule is only used two other times, once for the blue wall in your video, and once to get to a pink cube. I was able to do all of the other puzzles leading up to the white room myself, once I knew how to get to the blue room. Thanks for the walkthrough! Also, you need to learn how to make elevators. ;)

    i know how the cube rooms with diffrent angles MOST LIKLY work via portals and infact can glitch the block life clock museam area by putting some cubes right past the portal of the block that leads to the maze area. once glitched you will find another wired block like th eone in oriiginal room to have go down the track and can place cubes inside of the cubes and unglitch it and can look really odd.

    On that last one, you don't actually need to move and stop at the same time to get through the two blocks. You just need to constantly move at top speed so the blue box is disintegrated since it's bigger, yet the green one is smaller so the balls will never actually go back to the center. It's not that hard if you can keep momentum going.

I thought the puzzles were just getting increasingly tedious and I was pretty sure I was doing them "wrong" in certain cases, only to find out after finishing the game that there was 1 more gun with another ability and that I was essentially doing a fuckton of the puzzles "wrong" Gotta say it felt pretty gud.
