We used to do $5&5scratcher or $10&10scratcher.. and it was just the guys with kayaks and jonboats hanging out and fishing. This brought me back to my teens-twentys and made my day. I know a few folks that can't make table talk about fishing and look at you sideways when you make comments about birds or full moons ect. FFS is a tool, it helps but sure doesn't make someone a good well rounded fisherman. Thanks for the good vibes!

Took my city nephew out for his first time fishing. Forgot to turn on the Garmin cause we were having so much fun. Ask him if he wanted it on and he responded its more fun with the mystery. He also said its more peaceful. I was pretty surprised but it was an interesting response.

Its okay to have Livescope as long as you put a cover over it or keep it in a cabinet or something....... sort of like how it was with having a TV in the home when I was growing up. ( a lot of you won't relate to this but I bet a bunch do) According to IKT rules (International Kayak Tournament) the Pileated Woodpecker (9:16) should have counted as a bonus pound. Im pretty sure you won Aaron. The ethics fishing of bedded bass is such a valid conversation to be had. But it's easier to demonize technology than have that uncomfortable conversation. Great video. Thought provoking. I watched it with my kids and it sparked some conversations. Maybe in future you could blur the screen or give some kind of parental warning before Jay goes topless. My children are so young......

I just spent the weekend sight fishing Bass on a backcountry lake. I kept thinking, Bass season should be closed right now. I ended up switching to topwater trying to avoid catching the males.

Ya, the bass bed right off both of my docks, all around the shallows. Last year I put in some some cover for the fry once they leave the nest. Just trying stuff out. The bass population is taking over at my lake and the fish species are reorganizing, looks like bass are gonna be pretty everywhere. Not sure what will happen to the Lakers as we had one of the few populations around. We'll see. Hopefully you were filming on your backcountry adventure last weekend and hope to see a video soon. Those backcountry trips are totally worth it, not always easy LoL, but can spoil fishing elsewhere. If it weren't for the bugs. I tried out my new ultralight rod yesterday and had 4 on the first 4 casts, the next 2 casts were screwing around (new rod), then 2 more fish on casts 7 and 8. Tight lines and looking forward to seeing more.
