I looked up Anthony Melchiorri because I was wondering if he was putting out any new content. I never missed an episode of Hotel Impossible. He has an excellent eye and a head full of business knowledge. Like Marcus Lamonis he just makes sense without the drama of Gordon Ramsey (love him too). So glad he is back out there. I hope he will pick up some big sponsors so he can spread the love in a bigger way.

As a Sunnyside resident for 8 years, and a fan of the relatively new Philomena's. I have to say I was hoping for their success. They brought GREAT pizza to Sunnyside. The rest of the pizza in Sunnyside is only good. I didn't know they were not doing well. I wish them the best, I only want people to progress. Would be awful if it didn't last. I subscribed, I want to see more. Edit: Finished the episode, wow ITS FIRE was a killer ending. Right place, Right time!

I know I'm late to the party, but First: That awning has to GO! Its way too bland for that location. It's lost in all the confusion of the street. Replace it with a FAR more colorful awning. Probably dark green with a scalloped apron and highly contrasting piping and trim, (maybe bright yellow, preferably with a fringe added). AND YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN BIG NUMBERS ON IT. Next, your sign up top is perfect, but has to be bigger! The neon sign in the window has to be bigger, preferably with a flashing neon ring around it. Put one small, bright sign in the window advertising one of your pizzas every week. Don't discount it...just name it. ie; "Sicilian Pizza!" Then...SAMPLES, SAMPLES, SAMPLES. Remember you are in a very loud location with lots of distractions. The only way to get customers attention is to be louder, brighter, and more energetic. Energy generates energy. (and interest)!

Fantastic I live in Maspeth and I'll be coming soon. This gentleman needs to be selling pizza by the pie, for the experience. Pizza looks on par with Roberta's and my favorite, Lucali. This is not a slice joint. It's sit down. Give the customer the experience your pizza deserves. Ditch the television in there and give me the candlelight. I'll be coming by regularly because the owner looks like a good guy. @Anthony Melchorri Thanks for this, you're really helping this guy out. He deserves it.

I'd so visit this pizza place, if I lived anywhere in NYC. Even if it was in another borough, I'd make it a point to visit here at least occasionally. Too bad I don't. I really, REALLY hope Philomena's makes it, though! I do hope per what Anthony said, that Philomena's does more social media promotions to encourage people to go in! And of course if one of the local newspapers could review this place, it'd probably help a LOT in getting more people into his door. I loved Hotel Impossible, and glad to see Anthony is back! Even if it's only being back, in a KZread only show.

Anthony: I have now watched the 3 episodes I found on KZread and was excited at first (I loved the Hotel Impossible and have watched them all several times.) The Turnaround 's are very light weight with a lot of you talking and trying to get a re-action or sign of some involvement from the owner. I wont be watching if the format doesn't change with more action or at least written action plans with the involvement of the owner.

They are customers just the same, but they just care about cheap food and probably can't appreciate the quality. They were going to spend at least $7 at Wendy's. Do 2 slices and a can of soda for $5.99 one slice doesn't fill you up. Square slices or toppings for a little more.

PET PEEVE. Anthony, one of my biggest pet peeves, is incorrect sideways videos. The quality portion of the video is only in the center of the screen, all the rest is junk. My brain simply says, change the channel. Huge black bars? You could at least cut the video, but then yeah, it will be blurry. Next time, ensure the cell phone is sideways "before" you press the record button, or the videos "meta-data" for orientation will be flagged as a "vertical" video, and will only go sideways at that point if you tip the phone and wont correct itself. Our eyes scan left and right, not up and down. the world lays before us horizontally. TV's sit horizontal. Videos that are vertical are sac-relig are only usually taken by inexperienced video photographers and average cell-phone users. Please don't do that to me again, ha-ha, because, I simply love your content, keep up the otherwise-good footage. By thew ay, ive seen EVERY hotel impossible, several times each, great business instruction!!

It missing some italian images from walls, the counter area need more improvement , cause looks just like a canteen … Needs to looks more rustic, cause otherwise it ia just like a take away place …Need some menus that can bring children inside… As soon the children are coming in, the business runs well. Need to be seen in any platform possible … I do not know how it looks at the end, cause I left this come before I saw entire video…So, I’m sure that will be flourish ar the end 🙂

Please, please tell me you all paid for the pizza and didn't make this poor guy have to foot the bill when he's barely making it. Teenagers is the wrong crowd - they want cheap, they are loud, they are hard to up-sell. Why not encourage him to have office parties there, and advertise that? Your whole office can come here for lunch for a set price for gourmet pizza. Why not sell those new gourmet seltzer waters people loe? Why not make picnic pizzas that people can take to a park? Someone needs to get creative. I like the idea of this show, but I'm not sure that it is helping the owners at all. It's really too bad. People love fresh, hand made pizza. Those kids would be happy with pizza hut. He deserves better clientele. The decor is awful. Paint would help a lot; it needs a woman's touch.

AROUND 59:00 the person holding the cell phone says "Guys, what do you think of the pizza?" then someone says "it's NOT GOOD" just listen to it! And then the bald guy Anthony tries to bully them right after by saying "It's very good! There's no better comment than very good!" Then the cell phone "camera man" says "guy's how does it compare to Wendy's" ??? What?? How about how does it compare to other pizza in the area? Later Anthony says "we made about 30 or 40 bucs..... he would have made ZERO BUCKS".... Anthony acting like HE is the reason some petty change came in the pizzeria. Yeah, maybe he is the reason for that small moment of acting on part of everybody. To other New Yorkers out there... who gives that many slices without having people pay first? Even if that was a real moment of trust, this "show" is still complete crap. Story time for the owner of this pizzeria in NYC. Or any other pizzeria that is somehow failing in NYC of all places. I AM A NEW YORKER. Aside from that, which is unrelated..... I KNOW PIZZA, I LOVE PIZZA. I EAT PIZZA ALL THE TIME. FORGET THIS PIZZERIA. I THINK THAT THIS ANTHONY DUDE DID NOTHING BUT CAUSE THIS PLACE TO DO EVEN WORSE BY MAKING THIS STUPID ASS VIDEO. With MASSIVE MASSIVE foot traffic in nearly every single area of new york city, ALL THAT YOU NEED IS GOOD FOOD. Pizzerias are very very easy to manage and run. "New York Style" style slices only mean that they are very thin pizza slices. A GOOD NYC pizzeria can pump out slices THAT ARE STILL FRESH at a constant rate. If they have a high rate of foot traffic. I once was on 5th avenue working on a food truck..... we parked near this pizzeria that was like a pizza factory! (yes, i know that in the city.... (meaning Manhattan) you will have even more people around and you will make more money). But... Anyways the owner told us that he was paying 40,000 per MONTH in RENT. Yet somehow he still made it work!!! And still made profit!! It doesn't matter where you are in NYC. Your pizza is either good or not, all pizza is made quickly (or should be), you have to base what you make and when you make it during the day off of how many people come in daily, and when they come in. You either care or you don't.... and it'll show in your damn food. If you can't make profit at a pizzeria in NYC, then you are a goon. Straight up. You don't need people like Anthony to come in and screw around with you. Looks like an annoying teacher around kids trying to tell them what to say or how to think. Owner of this pizza place...... Please don't tell me he asked for money for this!

It must be killer rent VS $2.50 a slice pizza. It looks good and no one's has much to complain about. I'm in Quebec City or i would come down for at least a couple of slices.
