Freddie Roach said it well. Anthony Joshua unfortunately can't handle the weight he's carrying. His stamina is poor. And he's still stuck on defeating Wladimir but that's two years ago. Boxing is probably the hardest sport out there behind MMA. You can't take anyone for granted

Theres a lot of reports coming out that the fight shouldn’t have even happened. In sparring AJ was knockout close to the fight and hadn’t actually fully recovered Eddie hearn convinced AJs parents he would be fine AJ also is said to have had a panic attack right before the fight which was why his ring entrance was delayed. AJ has not use any of this excuses and if they are true a commend him for not saying it and dealing with the loss like a champ

@@thedindon why would they fix this fight for Ruiz?.....everybody in the world wanted to see a super fight between Wilder vs. Joshua.....its simple Joshua underestimated his opponent, he didn't train properly, and maybe Ruiz got some lucky punches in but I doubt it......if someone was to fix the fight it would be for Joshua because he was suppose to fight Wilder.....i am not knocking Joshua....i think it's good he had a lose he took it like a real boxer gave his opponent his respect.....Joshua has the attitude of a champion he has to clear his mind forget about the lose, and train harder......like Joshua said it wasn't his night and I got to say Ruiz looked like he wanted that title and Joshua looked like he didn't want to be there...like i said what would.be the reason to fix the fight for Ruiz?.....the super fight was suppose to be Wilder vs. Joshua .

No Kellerman isn't the "voice of reason" I've been watching Kellerman since he thought Francisco Bajeda was the second coming of Henry Armstrong and he loves boxing but can't put anything in perspective. He's just got the right last name if you know what I mean! Ie Ledderman, Merchant, Cossell, Bernstein actually Bernstein has a better handle on reality!

In the fight, Ruiz looked like the more skillful boxer. He was the aggressor - moving forward and cutting off the ring. His hands were faster. And Joshua's foot movement was slow to non-existent. I would not be surprised to see Ruiz win again in the rematch.

ESPN ruining ufc and boxing because they overpaid for TV rights to ufc so they try to talk shit about Ruiz whose the undisputed champ and 1st Mexican champ. ESPN talks about diversity and then attacks the champ for his size and race??? ESPN is out of line.

Why does everything always have to be so hyperbolic? Ruiz was brilliant and AJ wasn’t on the night. That doesn’t mean AJ is a ‘Fraud’ or ‘Terrible’, he’s still at the top level of boxing, so much so that I’d still tout him to be 95% of Heavyweights still. 20 years ago we didn’t scrutinise losses anywhere near as much as we do now, it’s not that big of a issue. I’m sure AJ will be back to being astounding. With all that said, Ruiz deserves his moment because he was incredible and has thoroughly earned it. What a great guy to have at the top.
