His voice used to be fine up until a couple years ago when he was punched in the throat during training and a blood clot formed. I'm pretty sure it can be removed and his voice would go back to normal but maybe it's grown on him.

I really wanted Ruiz to defend this belt, and look like the champ... but wow was that disappointing... How do you go into a heavyweight super fight and make it seem like you don't care? Ruiz on all his interviews talked about he might lose some weight, and get some mobility, but he did the opposite, and to me lost this fight because it seems like he got his money, and he's done. His points were valid, but he got the situation flipped. AJ prepared athletically perfectly for the first fight, but with the late substitution, he didn’t alter his approach to the fighter and paid for it. In the rematch, Ruiz let his ego get too big, felt he didn’t need to train and listened to too many pundits saying he was AJ’s bogeyman. He was overweight in the first fight and fucking hideously overweight in the rematch. He doesn’t deserve a third fight, unless he drops at least 40lbs and wins another fight before AJ.

(which I already know who he's fought) First, how about instead you take into consideration, that regardless of what your opinion is, he's still the Lineal champ. Deserves respect. Second, the only fight that actually matters, is against Wilder. Without even discussing the outcome, he's gotten up from a Wilder punch. Only one I can remember as of late. Joshua loses one big fight, and now everyone says he is a bad fighter. Ruiz wins one big fight, people say he is the best. Joshua won against Klitschko, Povetkin and many more. He will come back and win. AJ made some mistakes, he is able to do better. Just stay on the outside and Ruiz won't do nothing. And come on, Ruiz's knockdown wasn't a lucky shot...

It's not he's a bad fighter but if he looses to Ruiz again it's just a bad style for him... aj might loose, get a shot at wilder and knock him out you never no but I do believe fury is right about him and klit they would both beat Ruiz... I don't rate Ruiz as the big world beater I could be wrong but I think Dylan whyte, ddd, even chisora would have good fights with him he's defo beatable imo.... hopfuly aj beats him though and then moves on to fury and wilder

That sounds good and all, bringing in famous quotes and everything. And I agree with that quote on a psychological level but not on a physical level. Boxing is physical, and if your chin doesn't hold up anymore you can train all you want, and be as mentally prepared as you want, but like Tyson said,everybodys got a plan until they get hit

The fight was stopped in the seventh , if he couldnt recover he was destined to fail in the heabyweight division . His image could never recover from spasming on the canvas like spilka v wilder Or been made a child by fury No punch is lucky , every punch has been thrown befpre tens of thousands of times during sparring , on the bag and even out on a run .

Fury was right in one way.. "Hard work and dedication to the job". AJ was 110% focused this time around, lost a lot of weight had a full camp, completely changed his gameplan and was disciplined enough to stick to it for 12 rounds. Ruiz on the other hand, was complacent with his weight and his training and lost because of it.

This is one of the realest interviews. Fury Says it how it is.

Same fight, same result. You can’t change your entire approach/techniques in that little of time. Ruiz showed him he wasn’t invincible and like Tyson said, that’s a psyche killer. Ruiz aims for the temple of the head the whole fight. In the first fight, he hit Joshua in the temple multiple times which killed AJ’s equilibrium. If he does the same again, same result. The temple is the most vulnerable part of the skull and very delicate. A brilliant plan actually

In terms of fighting smart - AJ, Fury and Wlad can defeat Ruiz but in terms of trading blows in close distance, I think the Mexican can defeat all of them because of his quick and heavy hands and iron chin.
