Quick idea. Queen 2 was formerly the slave ant to queen1 so that is why they had 2 different reactions. Queen 2 just submitted and queen 1 being the previous prime queen had to be forced into her new roll.

it is so entertaining and brilliant to watch someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about there interest and has made me interested in ants a pet i had never even considered before

Soooo idk how I ended up here. I was looking at judge mathis clips and went through a KZread wormhole and here I am. But I will say that I stayed bc of the narrator lol. He's great and made me so interested about these lil ants. Seriously 10:43-11:04 had me on edge

If I remember correctly in colonies where there are multiple queens, sometimes queens will to do some sort of 'power play' where one queen will attack and kill the others over the course of days or even weeks in order to gain control over the entire colony.

Watching the old content on a rainy night and had a thought about the queens - they were caught by the same person, probably pretty close to each other, so queen 2 might actually be a sister of the queen/s of colony B, while queen 1 wasn't, causing the different reactions. Just a thought I had while watching

What I was thinking is that Queen 1 was a dominant queen and Queen 2 was a passive queen. Queen 1 didn't like being bossed around because she was used to bossing others around whereas Queen 2 was used to being bossed around and as such, she was more calm and peaceful to the other ants.

Ya know, people haven't been the most respectful and all. Ya know, by not answering the question and stuff. But I'm just trying to spread the ant love around out here, so I took the question to heart. I spent many sleepless nights thinking of an answer and after careful analysis I am ready to share my findings. I think that ants are indeed sentient and were put here with a greater purpose. So black crazy ants always attack foreign ants even of the same species. Yellow crazy ants can join a colony of the same species. There's one difference.

Answer for QOTW: Yellow Crazy ants are bigger than Black crazy ants. Colony Name Suggestion: Sisters Of The Sun Wow, cynical me. I really was not expecting to get surprised here, as you were like, "Wow, what happened totally SCHOCKED me" when right before you explained that Yellow Crazy ants were polygenus. I was about to write you off as a clickbait salesman, but then it was ACTUALLY SURPRISING and you weren't even just hyping it up. Well played. Now was Queen 2 Struggling or refusing to join on her own, was she not accepting colony B unlike Queen 1, or did it just take some time to coat queen 2 in pheromones so she'd finally join? I think the agression originated form the Queen, not form Colony B's workers. Research time!

Ooooooh like the name suggestion, and hmmm the workers seemed to chase the queen around and she seemed to fight them off but you could be right. Queen 1 could have been the aggressor!
