One of the best sail trim video series, very good and balanced package! Now one more with spinnaker 🤩

I'm afraid my asymmetric sits safely in the closet. It's just too busy in the SF Bay to use it short or single handed. Offshore its fine.

Thanks! Does the audio sound OK to you? I got a notice that there was a buzzing background, but I don't hear it.

Sound is adequate. I did not hear any background noise and it was very clear.

Thanks. Probably someone with sound problems on their own machine. My own hearing is not very good, so I wanted a second opinion. Thanks again.

No there is definitely some (camera?) noise but it's fine: the information is well presented and interesting enough that the hum isn't a problem.

Fantastic Series, best analysis and explanation I've seen so far! Is there any chance you could look at other types of foresails like asymetric spinnakers and compare them to wing on wing?

Another interesting question would be how different trimm options affect the pressure and speed differences. E.g. powering & depowering.

Thanks. I'm going to pass on doing other sail configurations. If I were in the sail business, the work would be worth it, but I have just been doing all this out of curiosity.

Hello James, i looked and listened to your videos now for 2 days and i have learned much more than with all my sailing teachers within last many years. because of that, many people will get much more out of that passion.thank you for all that. would you be so kind to answer question Nr 6 in your Video Nr 3 " How sails really work ". the question is, why the speed read out is different on port and starboard tack. i do have a Stealth Catamaran made by Alan Carwardine in Phuket/ Thailand - great guy. and i do have that problem to a relevant extent. i have mini keels and my pedal wheel ( Transtucer ) is mounted near to the front end of my SB mini keel facing to the center of the cat - 15cm after the mini keel is glued onto the hull. what can i do to get a correct readout on both tacks ? Best regards from Vienna Franz

I've run into the same problem on several monohulls, but I don't have much experience with cats. Take a look at this video and see if it might explain the issue. You will need to ignore the comments on boat heel, as cats don't do much of that, but you still make the hulls work when going to weather. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fGGHlMOzncW-gpM.html
