Where in San Jose are you doing the $150 all day health medical check up with scans and all of that? Thanks and great video.

Not sure where you can get the $150 all-day medical check-up. But in Aaron's trip to the emergency room video we are speaking about CIMA.

@@yourpuravida he mentions in the video that he’s about to get a physical, like an annual physical check-up where it’s basically a full day of scans for about 150 bucks , that’s what I’m referring to :)

Thank you guys for all you do and share! I have some questions for June 2024 I havent heard anyone touch on much and i am hoping maybe youll have some insight. No pressure, I'm not trying to take away from the services you offer! Theres just a lot I cannot seem to find videos on. June 2024 Questions: >Can you share thoughts on how Costa Rica & Ticans view and treat homosexuals? >Is it true that toilet paper is thrown away and not flushed after use? >Can you please speak to Costa Rica & Medical Marijuana? >What are your thoughts on driving from North America to Costa Rica (vs flying) >Knowing how much Ticans value their time (rightfully so!) Is it rude to hire 2 services to do the same job and whichever shows first gets the job? >What progress has Costa Rica made regarding payment of bills (such as utilities) online? >If I work from home remotely, could having a generator and satellite internet make any concerns about power outages and internet outages negligable? >Theres a lot of conversation about Ticos not showing up on time but for Tican-Run businesses (i.e. a retail store), do they adhere to their own regular hours? >Are there National Holidays Ticans celebrate that I can educate myself on? Do they celebrate Halloween? >I was able to quit cigarettes via vaping. Does Costa Rica have vaping products etc.? > Are there things i can still order and have shipped online (obviously knowing shipping times will be extensive)? Is there import tax on every foreign bought good? >Can you briefly describe the mailing service in Costa Rica? >Can you speak to the garbage/waste services? Is there garbage pickup or do I drop it off somewhere? >I've read the heavy rains can be really loud on your roof? Have you noticed this? >Is there more or less wear and tear on things that youve noticed that you think we should know? (i.e. Cars rust faster & necessary upkeep, extra steps to protect electronics, etc.) >If petty crime is common, is it safe to say the only thing you should bring to the beach is a towel if you plan on swimming? >What has been the easiest way for you to connect with a Tican? In other words, how do you make friends or find romance? Do Ticans use Tinder/Grindr and well-known online social or dating apps? >What level of Spanish is necessary to "get by" and are there any schools or is it common you'll see busineses where Ticans teach Spanish to adults? >If a crime is comitted against me (i.e. someone breaks in house and steals a lot), does Tican Law Enforcement treat Gringos differently in the seriousness, follow-up, etc? >Do you ever get concerned about regulatory or legislative change that could impact your ability to live in Costa Rica? (i.e. Immigration/Visa law changes) >What do you think someone both with and someone without money can do to make the biggest positive impact on the local community? What can we do to help Ticans as Gringos? >Of the clients youve worked with whom decide Costa Rica is not right for them after learning more about it, what is the most common detractor you see? >For government spending, does Costa Rica highly value development of infrastructure at all? (i.e. Road Maitenance and Development, Power/Internet reliability, etc.) I could sit here forever and come up with a lot more, but do not want to overwhelm you! If anything, I hope this could give you ideas on additional Costa Rican related content and again, I REALLY appreciate your videos and love the work you two do!! Thank you so much! 😊

Question for the April 2024 edition: It's my understanding that CAJA fees are based on a % of income but I thought that Costa Rica is a territorial Tax country, how does that work for expats that derive their income from retirement or investments outside of Costa Rica?. Does the CAJA premium still depend on income regardless of where or how earned?

If we need more than the 180 day visa; is doing a border run still allowed? I hear that CR is putting an end to that. Is there a bank that is in CR and the US to make moving money (Dollars) easier and safer? I was told Scotia and Davivienda may work.

We did a video on crime - it's overall quite good but of course, there are pockets and areas we don't recommend (true of any city or country). The amount of $ is truly subjective.

I would have NEVER used Avianca for pets. Hell, I would NEVER AGAIN USE AVIANCA ... PERIOD! They were AWFUL! Only airline I've ever used that made an 8 hour trip into a 26 hour trip. NEVER, EVER USE those idiots EVER AGAIN. If it wouldn't have been for a very friendly Tica on our flight we'd have been completely without any help. Aviana, will NEVER BE A CONSIDERATION, EVER AGAIN. As a resident, I'd say expect a year and a half minimum at this point. We love the medical here. We are about 60 and we are now residents. Very reasonable, we can't complain.
