Thanks for being so honest in this video, Aaron. I think the old Tico adage "Family first, friends a distant second" is what stands in the way of making deep relationships here. That being said, there's a great book club in Santa Ana that meets once a month at Sem-Colon Books (D and I have really enjoyed it). Pura Vida.
A friend asked me to watch your video, and boy, was he right! As a tico, I've traveled a lot and even lived abroad for a while in Bogota, and I can relate to that fleeting feeling of loneliness you describe in your note. Still, as you say - it passes when you realize you have support from friends and a firm conviction that wherever you are, you create a home for yourself. Great initiative, and looking forward to seeing more content :)
