Can you do a grade ranking of each foci, from the most lame to the most game breaking? Something like a letter grade. A to F grade, or similar, along with a breakdown of what each foci does at each character Tier. Maybe poll viewers to see what they think. I’d suggest making a couple of videos for the core book, then a separate video for foci introduced in each additional Cypher book.

@@MrTarrasque Oh, it's a laborious project to be sure. BUT it is also a content generator for your channel. Just look at all the videos the "Dugeon Dudes" have made ranking D&D subclasses. Those are some popular videos on their channel with a lot of audience engagement.

Another thing to remember is that when easing tasks, no more than 2 steps can come from skills, no more than 2 steps from assets, and no more than 6 steps from effort. So that caps it at 10, no matter what, but you can't stack a bunch of assets or skill on a task - only 2 steps count.

First Adventures: Their Backerkit last year included the Cypher System Starter Set. It's scheduled to release in June. "The Cypher System Starter Set includes the game rules in an easy-to-learn format, along with pregenerated characters and several adventures. A fun, easy, and inexpensive way to learn the game."

I cant find the exact quote in the core book, but it recommends keeping Edge at a maximum of 6. There are several abilities that are balanced with that number in mind. Once you increase even to that level, it is very powerful.

great content. Suggestion for the one on higher tier of play and the difficulty of using low level creatures with tier4+ characters : use all them low level monsters as swarms. My players facing 7 orcs won't roll 7 defenses rolls when overwhelmed. They roll vs the creature's level (3) +1 per 2 extra creatures (so level 6 when facing 7 creatures) & the swarms deals its damage (ex: 4 for that orc) +1 per 2 extra creatures. last, on a successful defense, the target still lose 1 or 2 pool point to represent being overwhelmed and taxed by the exercice itself along with receiving lots glancing hits. Try it : it's quicker to deal with lots of creatures and it's way more narrative.

The 2nd ed core book has a rule on p.436 for enemies working together. It is similar to what you suggested. Additionally The Strange has a "swarm" rule on p.260, which is also similar.
