Can you please tell me about the control you used in this video and where to get it? I do not see that control on the Progressive products list (I know you said it was from an elevator table, but I want to get it right if I go with this system). Such a nice build! I also am unsure where best to but the aluminum 2080 you used, or the brackets that attach to the track actuator.

Loved it, nice setup. Don't forget to add the froli system or similar to your mattress for moisture control, keep up the good work.

I’ll look into the froli system. I’ve been thinking about drilling a bunch of 1” holes through the plywood to the air space bellow.

Very good video Chad! A couple of questions if you don't mind. In shopping for a lift system did you also look at the round individual linear actuators like those seen in Bliss Mobil builds? How much clearance around the booth did you allow for the lift system. Looks like 3 inches or so but I can't quite make it out. Last one, the bed frame is 1"x3" and that seems like overkill but maybe I'm underestimating how strong that needs to be? Thanks for all of the how-to videos!

My original design was to use linier actuators (round ones) but I did not have enough space under the dinette for the length of travel. There is six inches of space on the dinette backs. Yes the frame is overkill but it fits the look I am going for.

I bet you could pop that little control box open and switch the up arrow with the down arrow so they're correct

Looks great! Considering the flexibility of your bed frame to actuator connections, does it matter if the actuators are not totally in sink? I think connecting all actuators to the same circuit will run them up and down pretty much at the same rate (with a few seconds delay) but since you have flexible connections you won’t torque the bed frame. The actuators can also be controlled individually if you want to level the bed. Let me know your thoughts cause I’ve been teetering between using hall effect and just simplifying the system. I would like to have current sensors so the bed won’t go up if someone is in it.

Nope the way I built the bed frame, I anticipate the actuators to be out of sync. It is an issue right now with the control system. The next iteration of the control system will allow for leveling the bed if the truck isn’t level.

​@@BrokeOverLand I'd be interested to know if you've continued to refine this. The ability to control with an Arduino is pretty great. I'd imagine you're using a motor driver board and a gyro to set the bed level and then the signal from the Hall effect sensors to ensure the motors stay in step thereafter?

How sturdy is the table lift for torsional and side-to-side forces? Thinking some people will naturally leverage against the table (pull sideways and push downward at the edges) to move in and out of the seating, especially the rear seat. The square base should resist twisting but can't tell how sturdy it is from the video.

Not sure of the exact specs but It will flex some at full extension. I’ve been using it to leaver my self out of the dinette and it hasn’t had any issues. at full retraction in the lowest setting I’ve crawled around on it and haven’t broken it yet. I’m just shy of 200 lbs

What are the advantages of hall effect vs no hall effect sensors?

With no Hall effect or some other method of determining position of the actuator. You would be unable to control them all at the same rate, as some actuators could be slower or faster depending on the load on that actuator.
