Hazel brought up something I did not think of- copyright. Ugh! Going to see if I can dismantle that book into each issue. Not sure I'm up to that yet- soon though!

Hi Sandy, what an incredible find. Never knew anything like this existed. WOW. I couldn't stand Spam, potted meat, white gravy or Swansons pot pies. We grew up poor and those were all staples. Now as i reflect back, mom made all of these taste amazing. She was a super cook who could whip up a meal for 12 in minutes. I have so much gratitude for the wonderful mother i had. Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤

Hi Denise! Twelve? Holy smokes! My mom is an awesome cook and she made due with what we had too. No potted meat or Spam though. Although we really begged for Spam. ha! Mom is amazing and I am glad you had a good one too. Hugs!

In the 80s and 90s womans day was my fav magazine. This is two years older than me! Something older than me. Sorry still getting over turning the big 70😂😂that is a treasure book😊❤hugs

@@woolaminajunkjournals it’s going well! I’ve had some time to work in there this week. I might have to hold off for a few days because of this heat wave though. No air conditioning in there.

What an amazing find. The woman s day is amazing. keep it, sweetie. The only other suggestion is to split into ,each month. The first child cabinet card is precious. I just received about 50 cabinet cards, tin pics, etc. Love the beautiful backs of the photographers. I collect mostly women & children. Especially girls with the big bows💞🫶🎀

We'll see what happens with the magazine archive. For now it is perched on a shelf where I can enjoy it while I work. It deserves to be out with people who will love it! I never paid attention to the backs of the cabinet cards. So much to learn. Big bows are awesome! Hugs!

Oh my!!! I cannot believe that book 🤩 I didn’t even know they existed-be still my ❤in all my years and travels I have never come across one. Were they actually for people to own or was it for Woman’s day publisher archives? You are so funny-“I’m hungry, I want a donut’ 😂 Jellybean Farm- uhm YES!! Now we’re talking that’s more my speed of farming 😝 interesting about the alpacas sounding alarm - I love alpacas and have always wanted them so I love when you talk about them I find it fascinating- hmmm didn’t know that about cardinals - I’ve been seeing one on my new property , I lost my mum and sis a year ago -“Hi Jim” -Lovely cabinet cards and tin types❤Great finds Sandy!!

Morning Johnna! I think that archive was available to the public? I have to find out more about it. Hazel brought up the copyright factor so I need to figure out how to get the issues out- in one piece. I'll still scan a few things for me myself and I though! I've been enjoying your haul videos too. You've found some amazing things- we are finders of treasure right? Hugs!

Sandy, this is absolutely incredible. Both the size & scope of the actual book plus the trip down memory lane. I'm not so sure about your ability to scan it though because of its age & the fact the company still exists. Where is a copyright lawyer when we need one? It's a coat. It's a dress. It's super girl. Spam---eek. If you removed the cover, it would expose how it's bound----probably 11 pounds of glue. And then you gingerly tear them off the block so you don't lose too much off the left side of every page. That's my 5 cents worth. Maybe you can sell off 12 issues if you separate them carefully. I'd be interested in seeing what you do & how much it may cost. The cabinet cards are great. I have so few that I'm hoarding them for now. Bad girl. Hugs my sweet friend! H

I was so happy to find a book like that I did not give a thought to copyright! Thank you for reminding me- could have been big trouble for me. I'm going to try and dismantle the book so the issues stay together. Not up for the task yet so I'll let you know when I pull that one off. If you 'need' cabinet cards.... Hugs!
