one shot is also pretty good, but it’s just a expanded edition with new dialogue and some extra features, I suggest getting both if you like fighting games (one crabs treasure) but also puzzle ones (one shot)

Now this I like. An underwater soulslike meant to be as dificult as others of its genre, while putting in the effort of being an approachable introduction to the style of games. It's a great idea. Plus its crabs, and that just makes it even better

@@xbluex1361 In what way did Elden Ring cate to much to the casual audience. I've been playing soulslikes since Dark Souls 1 in 2014, and I never once got the feeling that ER was trying too hard to cater to casual players.

This was the best game in the showcase. It looks seriously fun!

@@MystifiedBeef i have high hopes for gunbrella as well. I love metroidvanias and it feels like a fresh take on the genre. it will obviously reuse classic genre mechanics but it still seems like it takes a new angle.

When developers raising environmental awareness while making it fun and cute, it hits different! I hope it will be as good as it seems, if not better. I'm already hooked (no pun intended)! Congrats, Aggro Crab

I love the attention to detail all the enemies have. The boss at 1:02 with its knife and fork looks hilarious.

Definetely the best thing of the direct It actually looks really good!

This, Soundfall, and Gunbrella, are the only games that really stood out to me during the Indie Showcase. I really just like how they feel from the design aspects. I would've never thought of about a game where you play a hermit crab and using garbage as a shell and as defensive tool; it's an brilliant idea! I want more games like this, too often do we have games that just don't want to experiment with crazy ideas like this; now it's all so...realistic and grounded in reality to a certain extent. Kind of defeats the point of endless potential of games as a medium, I think at least.

Shell-den Ring looks good!

This looks like a game worth putting the final touches on. It looks solid and deserves the content to back it up. Interactive environments, hidden secrets, mini games, etc. I would put all that in, even at risk of delaying the game, because this game looks so promising I think it could really make a name for itself.

This looks great. I'm not usually one for Soulslike games, but this looks a lot more fun and charming than the Dark Souls series and such in my opinion. This could possibly be what gets me into the genre, like how Hollow Knight got me into Metroidvanias.

Same Hollow Knight was my first Metroidvania game and still holds up as my favourite indie game of all time :). I used to watch a lot of Relyea's youtube videos where he makes guides and stuff related to Hollow Knight. Idk if you know who that is lol.

This actually looks amazing for a game that's about a crab. Screw Silksong, THIS is the real deal

AGGRO CRAB DID IT AGAIN! WE LOVE THEM

Combining 2 of the best genres into one game, and also crabs has to be one of the best things I’ve ever seen. I am definitely picking this one up.

Imagine if Red Lobster gave you a discount if you downloaded this game and showed them your Switch?

@@DaSheepKiller yes, I mean Dark Souls also has platforming in it, but the main draw of the game are extremely punishing and though boss battles, so whether you find "dark souls but with crabs" fun or not does depend on how much you like a very harsh and unforgiving difficulty. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy it, just that the game probably won't exactly be relaxing or focused on platforming and you should definitely check out the difficulty first before getting it.

This game already had me interested, but when I realized it was the same team as Going Under, I was sold. Can’t wait to see what their latest project has to offer! :D

This was the best new game announced at the Indie World (though Silt and Gunbrella also looked good)! Never played a Soulslike before but really tempted to get this game, iit gives me vibes of Spyro in terms of the world and style and it looks so fun!

It seems like we’re getting a lot of cute souls-likes like how shoot-em’-up genre got the cute-em’-up genre, what do you think we should call this new genre?

My favorite things about this are the grappling hook and the Music so this’ll be a day 1 for sure
