This is their best album since Never, Neverland in my opinion! I was totally surprised by this record! Raw, faster, thrashier, definitely the new younger members brought life to the band

Necrotic Nick- I still need to jam some of the others that came out before this but over all I liked this album as far as the musicality. Jeff is a great mix of a riff guy and a lead guy. That's always been on of my appeals to Annihilator and probably always will be.

Remember when Dream Theater came out with Dark Clouds, and it had a karaoke disc with it? Annihilator NEEDS to do this.

I think it's a pretty good album. I'm ok with the lyrics not the best but they flow with the music. 3 1/2 out of 5 for me.

Necrotic Nick- I dig it for the most part. It's solid thrash and Jeff still is a beast of a guitarist for sure.

Eddie Van Halen coined the term LSD. Lead singers disease. I've always tuned out the vocals and lyrics from this band. In their prime he wrote about macaroni and cheese. Even from way back in the day on Alice and Never Never. Water's ability to play both amazing riffs and blazing leads are extremely rare. Only a handful of guitarists can do both so effectively. Dime, Alexi, Eddie....When I pop in an annihilator album, I've already come to grips with what I'm going to hear vocally. I just listen and appreciate what an amazing guitarist he is.

I've never been a vocal person so I tune them out. Definitely dig the music aspect of the album though.

You're so wrong guys. Ive had a problem with the lyrics for many years, but don't find them so bad this time. This album is the best thing they've done in 26 years

Necrotic Nick- I think it's good but the lyrics really did hamper it. Lip Service, Psycho Ward and Attitude were pretty cringe when it came down to the lyrics. Musically, it's pretty on point. There are flat out killer tracks on here and Jeff kills it both on guitar and production.

@@thrallsofmetal I got to the point a couple of years back were I was ready to give up on Annihilator because of the lyrics. So much to the point where I felt it wasn't just cringe worthy, but embarrassing. With the new album, the music is so damn good, I didn't really notice. As you said in your video, and ive said millions of times, I wish Jeff would use someone else to write the lyrics.

Necrotic Nick- I don't think I could give up on a band just due to lyrics. Ultimately it always comes down to the tunes themselves and as far as vocals it's about catchy cadences, delivery and how much impact they have on the song. As much as I love a band like Deicide Glen's lyrics can be flat out awful but the music still tends to be good... maybe minus that last one. Vocally I think Jeff is pretty decent but I agree that perhaps he should outsource the lyrics to someone else in the band.

This time the music outshines any lyric! The lyrics have been much much worse on previous albums. And in fact, I find that the the worst lyrics on the new album are in I am warfare. Standard generic thrash lyrics. " Suffering, death, disease, mankind's on it's knees? You didn't mention that as cringe! Maybe cause it's heavy? Annihilator fans around the world are celebrating this new record . Annihilator have outdone themselves insofar that I don't think they'll replicate it or out do it on the next record. Simply stunning!

Necrotic Nick- I give you that "I am Warfare" is pretty standard fare as far as subject matter but Lip Service is just flat out bad lyrically. I'll gladly take standard thrash tropes over Lip Service any day to be honest. Pretty much all the tracks are heavy and musically I think it's on point. This is a solid line up Jeff has and honestly, with the amount of talent he's recruited, they could potentially out do this one. We'll have to wait and see.

@@thrallsofmetal Agreed, but I think Jeff was trying to create the same atmosphere as a Night Jumps Queen pt 2 from the Set the world on fire album with Lip Service. I didn't like it at first at all!!

Necrotic Nick- The music around Lip Service is solid. I loved the bridge on it especially but lyrically it was a bit much. As an instrumental, it'd be a 100% banger though.
