@@QueerTunes what exactly are you talking about? This track was not on ‘A Christmas Cornucopia’ 10 years ago, was it? Also, what do you mean by “not performing live”? Obviously, this is a COVID-19 distance performance. Which can not be fully live in the sense of “everybody is performing at the same time, without any prerecorded guidance track” as far as I understand current video streaming technology - which will, over the internet, always induce an amount of latency to long to really play/sing live in sync. Yet still, it looks very much like every person is recorded while singing; so the video images are those of people (including Annie) singing live.

What a beautiful and stunning arrangement. Annie Lennox's voice was made for this. The choir was perfect. And the production team that put this together deserve recognition, too. I hope everyone who hears this is moved to support Greenpeace and other organizations that are working tirelessly to save our planet. I hope this helps to comfort everyone who's lost someone.

I don't care about my personal death, it is the next adventure, or not. But the death of this magnificent planet, this wondrous place that we are blessed with, and have squandered, this makes me weep.

I was hanging in there when the blow of a hard loss came, and then I listened to this. At “Remember me!” I lost it. This may be the most gut wrenchingly beautiful thing ever written. 💐

This song was played at my mother's funeral. After the coffin was lowered and we said our goodbyes and walked away, this music sounded across the cemetery. Still brings me to tears. We will remember her.

Thank you. I scattered my mothers ashes into my local creek("Noooo!... Duck, don't eat that, its not food...Oh, whatever... My mum would be proud. Life goes on...) ...However we are still here! And we have an obligation to leave the world at least alive (forget 'better', that's probably too hard...The powers that be, and all)... we can but try.

A lament for the planet but, given the times, poignant for the millions who've lost loved ones to covid. If there is a public Requiem for the lost once this pandemic is over, this rendition of Dido's Lament, sung with Annie's exquisite voice, would be perfect to include. I lost my father just before the virus to sepsis, an awful condition growing in prevalence, and he suffered greatly. Purcell's words are the universal last words all of us would wish to say to the loved ones we leave behind.
