Anne of Green Gables is my favourite movie. Each time I watch it I enjoy it more

The first part of the series was in coproduktion with german tv. So Mrs. Allen was played by a german actress, thats why I think these scenes where cut out in Canada/ USA. Here in Germany know the scenes. 🙂

So fun to see fresh new scenes, though I think I've seen them on the dvds. Funny too, they're all lacking one of my favourite "characters" - the music! 🎶💕🎶

Ms. Stacy was more an influence on Anne than Mrs. Allen, but its interesting to see the scenes. I see why they weren't included

That's funny! I grew up with the German Version of Anne of Green Gables and didn't even know that these were exclusive scenes just for "us". Now as I'm watching this video I have to say that I don't recognize these clips, and I know this movie by heart, so I can't just have forgotten them. I always watched the movies on DVD so they must've been cut there too. I'm glad I can experience them now for the first time!

I'm American and i DO remember these scenes in the vhs set we had. Maybe they weren't included in the broadcast but were in the home vhs

These scenes ARE in the English versions, just not all of what is seen here.

Funny thing is that all of these scenes involve Mrs. Allen. What is up with that?

True! She seemed to be more involved than we realized. They also dubbed her natural voice in the series to sound American.

These scenes were included for the german broadcast, as the actress is a big name there and it was a stipulation of the german broadcaster that she have more of a role.

Thanks for that! It explains my befudddlement as a child having seen the series during its first airing on dutch television and then later on german TV again with all the strange scenes I could not remember with uncanningly german resembling actors, which they totally were. 😋

When my Mom was 14, she told her youth group leader that she wanted to be a Pastor’s Wife. That came true! ❤✝️

It was fun to see these scenes, but I am glad they got cut. They don’t seem to flow with the other scenes and also feel rather awkward.

I don’t want clips, I want to watch the entire movie. It doesn’t seem to be available anywhere. What good are the clips if we can’t watch the movie? Thank you.

The full movies are definitely hard to find anywhere. Sometimes although rare, PBS in USA will carry them. In my local public library in western USA I can rent them on DVD. I don't know what the big deal is not having them available to watch.

Where are you located? There are PAL versions of the movie available on DVD if you are from Europe.

gather many of these either weren't considered right for what the director wanted or they took up too much time in the filming

Have to say I'm not fond of their making Mrs. Allen out to be German. It wouldn't make sense to have someone Lutheran (as Germans mostly are) marrying a Presbyterian minister. The theologies are quite different. And it's assumed in Montgomery's book that Mrs. Allen is Canadian.

Why? He's a fantastic Canadian actor. He portrayed "Alec King" on the series "Road to Avonlea" as well as on an older series called "The Campbells" which can be viewed on YT. He also has a beautiful singing voice.

From episode 1-3 is good and happy but in episode 4 its kinda creepy and Anne got stressed? She have a down syndrome i guess

I loved Megan in this series, but her performance in Reign is brilliant. She displays all the intensity of Catherine de Medici that makes her mesmerising on screen.
