They allowed the voices of women and children to be heard and they were listened to. I've been sick of remakes in general for maybe ten years now, but trying to remake them just for PC reasons is astoundingly absurd.

I remember in the original movie, the Witches were toeless with normal hands. They had a solid block where their toes should be and had to wear square toed shoes- something like that. Not sure why they changed it.

I grew up in NM and NV and there were kids/teenagers who were born adjacent to former nuke test sites that had some "unfortunate" appendage/limb deformities. We were "horrible" white kids born in the 70's and even though I'm sure there was some unintentional discrimination, uncaring stares and talking behind their backs, we always tried to include those kids and make them feel as welcomed as possible. What's happening now with social media and insecure parents making their differently-abled kids a "hero", isn't making the world better at all.

The author of the Witches doesn't like the movie because he hates the ending. Well, his ending was so twisted and crazy. But the first movie was scary and unforgettable movie. It is way better than a new one. I hate reboots!
