Annapolis Sailboat Show 2019 | Meeting our Sailing Heroes | S04E05

We're at the Annapolis Sailboat Show this year!!
Living a life on the water with minimal comforts and extreme challenges might sound unappealing to the average person. But at the United States Sailboat Show in Annapolis, the cruising mindset is the norm and we found ourselves surrounded by thousands of like minded sailors and many of our personal sailing heroes.

You two are amazing, you are superstars in your own right......and your truly humble approach is enlightening and inspirational. For me anyway, I find comfort knowing one day my wife, our little one and the rig we will rebuild.........will pull into an anchorage, somewhere random in the world, and we will press flesh and break bread with our inspirational characters. Thank you Jordan and Desiree, know that you are loved!

Cannot get enough of Atticus stories i.e. You Tube. I know the You Tubes musdt have a time limit, but I visualize so much that has been cut.....Keep up the good work. If I was not an 86 year old Korean War veteran, your lives sounds so very interesting, the good, the not so good but worth every moment, savor it now that is my advice.

Excellent video you two - as always! You did a great job of capturing the spirit of the show which, contrary to what Disney World would have you believe, is the ACTUAL happiest place on earth! :) My wife and I were at the show on Thursday - I was on the lookout for you guys the whole time - hate we didn't get to meet you. Had tickets for Friday as well but ended up avoiding the crowd by visiting a bunch of nearby marinas looking at boats - the show was crowded Thursday - sure it was packed on Fri and Sat. Good luck on your refit in Panama! Hope to cross paths with you one day... drinks will be on me.

Feeling gratitude. You guys put out a really high quality product. I was a bit blindsided by how touching I found this episode. In daily life, running into a welcoming stranger and meeting a new friend is a great experience. For you - and we're all regular people right, even actual movie stars - it is probably quite wonderful and maybe occasionally a bit overwhelming to personally meet one after another "new" friends who are already old friends because they welcomed you in way back when, and are now truly invested in your personal well-being. And then add in those out there "in the same boat" that you haven't met (yet?). And all their individual sweetness and beautifulness and all their nuances. Now that's an adventure!

I really enjoyed bumping into you two Buds at the Sailboat Show! The Woodwind tickets were sold out, and every time I checked the "white board" at Lin Pardey's you'd already been there or would be there hours later. BUT! lol I went by Lin Pardey's the last time (an hour before your the Meet-up at Servern Sailing Assoc.) and 30 feet way, there you two stood. I was so happy to meet you person to person. I thought about walking with you over to the Meet-up but I had to retrieve my bicycle, which I'd rode over from the Navy Marine Stadium. I almost needed a boat to get to my bike through the flood waters! lol Finally, the Meet-up was very fun. Food and drinks and great people all around. Made my day! : - )

Awesome vid! What I enjoy most about you two is that you are so willing to seek out advice to make informed decisions. Ego can be your worst nightmare! (The "I can do it myself attitude"!) The more informed you are, the better the outcome. One of the greatest gifts I ever received was to "never discount advice from others who have gone before you". Was excellent meeting you guys. It was cool seeing myself in a real KZread video. This video really captured the excitement of the boat show. I have been going to the US Sailboat show since the early 80's and bought my first sailboat there (Mac 25). Sailing over the years has diminished in popularity but thanks to KZreadr's like you, it is seeing a revival. This was the biggest boat show I have seen in 30 years. Thanks!!

I can bounce around all day in the river or lake, add salt to the air and lunch is a distant memory. Thanks for taking us along.
