It's good you enjoyed Turkey but you should always remember that your experience is not the same as many people who live there. Christians living in this predominantly muslim state are persecuted and abused on a daily basis and any westerner who encounters the police is likely to suffer abuse. I would never visit this place based on all I know about it, Turkey is a beautiful part of God's creation and very interesting but such is the abusive dominance of islam it prevents me from being comfortable there.

The anxiety may be related to that feeling of when everythings going right, we anticipate something will go wrong, especially if theres been incidents in the past.

Yet another excellent video. Over the years of watching your episodes, I am frequently amazed at the meals Desaray whips up while on board. Has there been any consideration of writing and publishing a cookbook? I am sure that your hands are full bringing up a young lady, having a dog on-board, shooting and editing your episodes. So, another project may not be possible. My wife and I do camping and RVing and many of Desaray’s masterpieces sure look yummy for out travels.

It is the first human instinct you have to deny when at sea, the land is not your friend. You have a good boat - the right decision would be to leave the dock and go to open sea immediately when wind raised from unprotected direction. That would be the safest option. This time you were lucky, it was blowing only 35-40kn. In Med (especially north) you should expect storms easily blowing 55-60kn for short period of time - that one could destroy your boat.

Hi guys! I'm back in Key West now and enjoying your videos immensely. You e taught me much, and I must thank you for it. You're living my dream, and allowing me to live it vicariously. I know it's not easy, but you make it look like it is. Keep on, and I hope to catch up with you again one day to talk story.

One point I truly appreciated below deck, and there were alot, was the finish on the wood wasn't hyper glossed. That finish just ruins an interior for me. Safe is sound is serenity. Great job on that vessel.

Religious tolerance is an Islamic concept. We believe in equal rights for non-Muslims. Secularism is an atheistic ideology that promotes atheism and hedonism within society. That goes contrary to cultural moral values that have been instilled within us. The sad part being secularism has been used as something to attack Islam and Muslims by politics while Secularism is far from perfect itself and every now and then we witness the hypocrisy of those who try to promote it but never practice it themselves, however they do expect Muslims to adopt and practice it.

It’s not true that Hagia Sophia was the first architecture to build dome. First dome building was built in Mesopotamia in modern Iraq and was extensively used in Persia. Its highly likely that the Byzantine was influenced by near eastern buildings

Turkey is a country with so many minorities. Kurds only are 30.000.000 so the issue between being secular or islamic is the least of the major problems of existence

Jordan, Desiree, the last time 'Windwalker' was in a twisty squall like that (8 years ago - mushroomed into a late May derecho while we were underway), there were 2-4 foot seas coming out of the sheltered spaces, plus a dismasting capsize under a 40-kt wind shear. The bliss on Isa's face afterward was priceless. Atticus II weathered it well. 😊 Blessings, S/V Windwalker
