I’ve been dancing for almost 13 years and I’ve just gotten comfortable en pointe in the last 2-3 years. She had me on edge the entire time because pointe isn’t just something you can pick up just like that, it takes years of experience and training for your feet to even become ready for pointe shoes. She could have seriously injured herself but she did good. If you’re a beginner pointe shoe user you shouldn’t spend more than 30 mins every day with them on that’s what my ballet teacher told me at least. Glad she didn’t hurt herself.

Ooooohhhhhh ! Non, non, non ! She didn't do good. She just had an angel in her shoulder this time. I wonder how far she will push her luck 😮💨. My teachers never once said we shouldn't spend less than 30 minutes on pointe when you're a beginner. We just had special courses for girls whom almost was ready and for beginners. We were spending an hour doing relevés, in all different position mostly. On the contrary the more time you spend on it, the better. I would around the house with my pointes and do some relevés or strech. One of my best memories as a teen.🥰 But I never danced profesionally. And all roads lead to Rome.

It is definitely not too late! I started taking ballet classes in my sophomore year of high school and was sent on Pointe the year after because my feet are naturally strong, stopped when I went to college, and now am back at it. I started back in September (about 15 years later) with just ballet and about a month later was back in Pointe shoes. I did a Pointe solo for the adult ballet recital last month and am set to begin doing performances with the studio’s ballet company locally.

As someone who has done classical ballet for 9 years, and uses Gainors, this hurt..... on so many levels. Dancer spiritually, physically, and lots more.
The lip quiver is everything.
I used to do ballet, acro, and contemporary, this video literally gave me a heart attack.
This is adorable omg, I’m so happy for you😭🫶
Anna is so incredibly gifted
I don't even dance, and I did a pterodactyl screech when she said she'd be attempting a needle en pointe.
I am a dancer and i know Anna is a cheerleader so I am panicking rn
Josephine is so cute, real, funny, truthful, professional, lovable! I love the idea and content of these videos, but what clinches it is Josephine. I hope she keeps doing this forever for all of the ballerinas, ballerina hopefuls, and everything ballet lovers, like me at 67 yrs old.
I definitely misread the title and was confused about why she’d make a video about needlepoint, like the crafting activity 😂
girl, the zero shoe prep hurt me
How is she better than me and I just have started doing it for a few MONTHS and she’s does it perfectly in SECONDS!!!! 😮😮😮

My ballet teacher used to think that a group of 12 year olds should be able to do this, like miss gurl NO- 😅
She wasn’t totally over the box, but did pretty well considering. Her flexibility and extension suggest to me she’s a figure skater, gymnast, does other dance styles, is a yogi etc. I mean, I have no idea, but it’s definitely not the worst pointe shoe tourist I’ve ever seen. Edit: the way she manages falling tells me she’s not new to the world of performance sport. I’m gonna guess gymnast.

I’m getting on pointe next year! I’m so excited and my dance studio will not allow anyone to go on point without any proper training
I'm not a dancer but from what I heard so far it takes a couple of years to learn how to do something like this and she nailed it within a day
I feel the ribbon part. I've literally had to resew my ribbons and elastics on my pointe shoes this year so. Many. Times. 😤
It's the varnished floor and undarned pointe shoes making me nervous 😂 but I've never seen Anna fail a challenge so 🤷🏻♀️😅💜
This gives autumn miller home dance studio vibes
I wanted to do ballet and went to watch a class. I asked a teacher how long it took to do pointe. She looked at my legs and said "For you? Never." Rude, but very accurate. Not a great activity for those with EDS.
The whole bannister as a barre is scaring me.
I’ve always wanted to dance but my parents told me I don’t have a dancers body. But dance fascinates me I took hip hop in college and picked up choreography very quickly as in five minutes I always felt a calling to dance but im 26 now and so I don’t think I could.
I was thinking the same thing about the stair rail! 😬
“I definitely don’t recommend going on point without proper training” me when I was 10 learned to go on point at home😂

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to describe the overwhelming urge I had to snatch the shoes break the shanks so they’re not so stiff and give them back to her.
Ok I’ve been on pointe but never been able to do a needle but I don’t think she should’ve attempted a needle on a bent leg like she did at the end. But this is also one of the first times I’ve seen someone do a needle on pointe so I could be wrong.
